    Security is a mess give yourself time. North terminal has better food then South terminal. Express train is not worth it, since it takes only 30 minutes less and costs more than double.

    If there are two of you staying in an airport hotel, get a taxi. The "complimentary" shuttle costs £3 each. The bus must be made out of magic.

    Why would anyone opt to build another runway here, when their passport queues currently stretch almost back to the airbridges? No capacity for their existing traffic! So frustrating. Waited 45 mins

    Never under any circumstance, change money at the moneycorp currency exchanges(its all moneycorp) The whole airport stays afloat from the money they suck off poor suckers from these joints.

    Easyjet is the worst airline.. we arrived at 10:30 for a 12:35 flight and could not find anyone who would help code in our car seat.. we kept getting passed off for other people.

    Gatwick is ok now. Used to be a lot worse. Pretty good selection of shops with food and clothes outlets. Avoid comptoir libonais at all costs though!

    I don't like going through this airport, there's always a hassle. I bought round trip Gatwick Express & found out on day of return there was no service! Ended up taking taxi. Nope never again!

    Taxi. never ever take a taxi between Heathrow airport and Gatwick. Robbery. 160 £. Take bus. Frequent service comfortable and MUCH cheaper.

    Gatwick Express costs around £16 whereas normal train service costs about £7. Both take approximately 30 minutes to Central London.
