Such a gorgeous space, especially in the “garden.” Loved every dish: deviled eggs, uni biscuit, black cod, lobster roll, butternut ravioli, and the miso donuts. Super unique dishes with robust flavors

Incredible menu, spectacular drinks, extremely friendly & knowledgeable staff. Outdoor seating has a beautiful relaxing feel and very zen. I will continue to recommend this place for years to come.

Share dishes (eg., kale w/almonds & pecorino; pumpkin toast; Hinoki black cod) & try their specialty drinks, too (eg, "son of a bee sting" - gin, ginger, lemon, rose water). Very unique place indeed!

Nothing in the area but this it seems... but awesome Asian/Californian tapas. Fish churros to start followed by boar ribs, chicken dumps and the bass, all 👌🏻 and we saw Cuba Gooding Jr. 🤗

Always a sweet ending at Hinoki & the Bird. Kalamansi-shiso sorbet, black sesame ice cream with lemon and hibiscus, miso ice cream with butterscotch and togarashi, and matcha zephyr.

My new fave place in LA. There is (amazing) food for everyone. Beef tartare is amongst the best I ve had, and black cod is - wait for it - better than nobu. So tender. Great vibe

I love how negronis are the new trendy cocktail. Four delicious takes on the classic here. Highly recommend the Kingston negroni if you want a tropical twist.

one of my favorite places. the roasted yam is ridiculous. a must. and the beef tartare is silky, fresh and perfectly seasoned. can't wait to go back and have more.

Fantastic food & great space! Highlights include crab toast, pumpkin toast, beef tartare & black cod. Kale salad was bland, lobster roll was nothing special & didn't love desserts. Great meal overall!

Aside from the ridiculous $28 parking, this hotel lounge/bar is well worth the experience. Every item we tried was a MOFOing delicacy. The miso mochi is seriously out of this world.

Really amazing food. Everything tasted delicious! Patio is cute. My favs on the menu were the mussels, salmon and pumpkin toast. And for dessert the miso mochi is a MUST!

Black cod, wild boar ribs are excellent. Lobster ramen only served on Fridays so be sure to call and ask for it ahead of time.

Tasty spicy lobster roll on a black bun. The miso cod was delish as were the yellowtail and hamachi crudo. The short ribs were good, but the pork belly was amazing!

All the food was excellent... Really, nothing was sub par. Especially liked the grilled octopus and the mussels.
