While the burger is instantly one of the top five in the city (grt it with thick cut bacon), the Four Gras and eggs dish is simply one of the best things in the world. Don't sleep on this.

Burger with egg and bacon is probably top 3 best in the city. Chili chicken is delicious and don’t miss the fries. Well done.

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had! The bologna sandwich, fried chicken, and bone marrow are also not to be missed.

It does not disappoint. NOTE: The single cheeseburger is a double, a double is a triple burger. The beef feels/tastes amazing, the sauce is great. The fries come with a garlic mayo, a welcome combo.

Multiple foodie websites have named Au Cheval’s burger the best in the country. If you want the full experience, just make sure you get both bacon and an egg on top.

Amazing!!! Burger with egg is a must and order fries. The bar downstairs opens at 5 and is a good place to hang if you have to wait, which you will!

Yes the burgers and fries are just as great as in Chicago, but take advantage of the in-house Sawada coffee and order a military latte on the side.

Tip: single cheeseburger (no egg), fries split with you & your honey & a glass of cab to wash it down. More food & you will be down for the count - trust me 🤤

Burger is good. But thats pretty much it. I can think of quite a few better in the city. The menu though has a lot of other great offerings. Hash, marrow, foie gras and great drinks.

Instant favorite. Single burger has 2 patties. Bacon on side is amazing meat candy. Green salad is the platonic ideal of acidic and herbaceous. Looking forward to returning.

Went for dessert and drinks..all good desserts but mille feuille and key lime pie were the best! Choc pie was good but soooo dense, too heavy for me. Great staff. Saloon bar downstairs.

Go during lunch to avoid the wait. The single burger comes with 2 patties. Add the egg and bacon to make it the messy flavor bomb that everyone is hyping this burger for.

For a table of 2, ask to sit at the two side seats on the kitchen counter. Best seats in the house by far as you get to see the cooks in action.

Brady and i loved this. I had the steak frites and the oaxaca old fashioned. Brady had the cheeseburger. No need to get extra fries 💕🥰💕🤩🥰💫

Maybe it’s just me but I’m not so a fan of egg in my burger. Nonetheless I was hoping to be converted but I wasn’t. Nice drippy action of the egg yolk though! The garlic aioli for the fries was bomb

Loved the venue and the service and will definitely come back, but don't expect the same burger you would find Chicago. It's a different burger, different sauce, different meat, different bun

Yep, the burger is indeed top flite. Fries feel a bit overhyped. Not a fan of the fried chicken (sauce is too sweet for me personally). Heard the bologna sandwich is what’s up

Great cheeseburgers! Highly recommend that over the bologna sandwich, which was too salty half way through! Fries were only ok, a bit undercooked...
