Great omakase. Includes soup, sushi, cod, steak, and rice with salmon & ikura. The private booths are cozy but a little tight. Imagine especially so for my tall friends out there.
Go once on every season and you will be delighted with their changing omakase. Have the Duck, black cod with miso, pomegranate Jello and drink sake and you will feel like you are in heaven!!!
the setting is private and intimate and feels uniquely Japanese. The fish quality is amazing and the sake selection was superb. Try the black cod and the uni.
Amazing and intimate Japanese restaurant in Williamsburg. Tokyo style small plates. At $65/p the 8 course omakase is a great deal. Atmosphere is also great, all tables are in private booths.
Crazy sake selection paired with food, some tasty little known Japanese beers and the $75 tasting menu, all in an intimate setting, including no windows and blinds separating tables!
The duck salad is so delicious, we keep coming back to this place for it. The place is also great for dates, all tables are isolated with curtains, and waiter comes when you press a special button.
Definitely one of the most intimate place for dinner in NYC... Perfect for a date, but also for a nice dinner with a small group of friends... Authentic and delicious Japanese!
Get the omakase ($75) with sake pairing ($50). Highlights: cream cheese paired with sake, housemade tofu, miso cod paired with plum wine, and washugyu beef kakuni
9.5 is an extremely aggressive rating for this solid Japanese spot. The decor and private booths are great. The omakase is well priced and the flavors are authentic. Despite the praise, it ain't 9.5
I'd really recommend getting the omakase with different sakes, that's the way to have the full experience. Intimate date spot because of the curtains in front of the tables.
A service button at the end of the table alerts the wait staff to your beckoning call. Major VIP treatment. As such, reservations are highly recommended. Mehr erfahren
Amazing selection - the uni special was incredible. We also did salmon, sashimi, udon. Each dish was expertly crafted and presented. Sake flight was delicious.
Very private (inside & out)! No sign outside so you might miss it - look for wooden panels. Food was very good...def felt like an authentic Japanese meal.
This intimate restaurant is perfect for dates. Order a variety of small plates (potato mochi, jidori salt chicken) or just go for the omakase. End the meal with the frozen black sesame mousse.
vegetarian omakase is amazing! ask for a cozy table. you'll be taken to an adorable little private curtained off dining area perfect for a romantic evening.
Definitely a place to remember. You get your own cubicle so it's very private. The food is very exotic and different. Miso cod and the tuna sashimi are great!
Quite possibly the best Japanese food I've ever tasted. Get the White Kakuni, it was out of this world! Atmosphere was also very cool with the private booths, so it's good for a date!
Styled as a “Japanese brasserie,” this unique restaurant is a unique dining experience, and the restaurant offers both a la carte and an eight course omakase tasting menu. Mehr erfahren
This restaurant is amazing! The fixed price menu is perfectly portioned and everything is expertly crafted. Definitely get the Sake sampler. They're all tasty (and strong)!
For foodies looking to expand their Eastern horizons beyond the realm of sushi, Zenkichi is a modern Japanese brasserie offering the chance to experience traditional Tokyo with exotic small plates.
Romantic and intimate – great for dates. Service is impeccable. Most of the dishes in the omakase was wonderful, especially the cod, tofu salad, and sashimi!
Perfect place for a date night! Sit in a private booth where you ring a bell for service. If you're adventurous, order the Tasting Menu! You won't be disappointed.
The outside looks like a warehouse, the inside looks like a bamboo forest. Booths have privacy screens and buttons to call your server. The food is delicious but it's all about the ambiance.
Japanese in Brooklyn... No what I expected to find! Order the 8 course banquet (vegetarian option available)... Amazing tomato carpaccio, homemade tofu, seaweed salad...
Definitely get at least two orders of the Washugyu Beef Tataki (crossbreed of Tajima & Black Angus: thinly sliced, lightly seared (rare): ginger-garlic soy sauce). The tako wasabi is good too but make
Tables are no bigger than school desks, but that’s OK; there’s enough room for two to snuggle and feed each other morsels from the seasonal eight-course omakase tasting menu ($65 per person). Mehr erfahren
