One of our favorite places in the West Village to go for wine. The food is not to be ignored as well - we love the Prosciutto di Parma Panini. Brunch is great here too!
Start with three items from the Salumi section (can't beat the prosciutto di Parma & sopressata). Finish with the prosciutto di Parma panini with mozzarella. Perfection.
Warm greetings and fancy eatings at this Italian bar and one of our top five best West Village wine bars! Dine on cicchetti while talking to the knowledgeable bartenders - they love to let you sample.
On the must-try list: antipasti like terrine with cornichons, fennel and orange segments. It's the perfect place to grab a bite before perusing the West Village's shops or strolling on the High Line.
Want to change from the Meatpacking usual suspects? Go at Zampa, it's a Italian wine bar always full on week-end with a great ambiance and a well made cuisine for a very reasonable price.
Get the Crostini with ricotta & duck prosciutto, the eggplant caponata & the excellent beet salad with oranges, fennel & arugula - perfect flavor balance!
Crostini with shitake, thyme and garlic is amazing. Also, they put basil and dill in lentils. I love it when herbs make guest appearances and steal the show.
Usually get the salmon & lentils, or a panini, and/or the beet salad. Delicious. Easy to eat at the zig-zag shaped bar, and Eames chairs are attractive, classic and comfortable.
CRT/tanaka's "corporate cafeteria." It's the best little Italian restaurant for a casual lunch (try the bourrata and thin slices of prosciutto de parma and the soup - no cream, just pureed vegetable;
Start with some salumi and cheese and then try the baked pasta special. Drink the Scacciadiavoli Rosso di Montefalco(a great blend of Sagrantino, Merlot, Sangiovese). Mehr erfahren
Poor service from both the manager (I think he was drunk) & server but the bartender was professional. Also, it smelled like rotten meat when I came here for dinner on 11/17/2014.
