Japanese pastries are delicious and unique. Sweet and savory. Divinely buttered and lightly fried (?) This is the spicy curry which I believe has miso paste as a base.
Japanese Curry togo - don't judge the plating. The taste, piping hotness and pickles are all nice touches. Wide selection of Baked Goods. They will slice your bread loaf into thin or thick cuts too.
The $11.50 breakfast special at this Japanese bakery gets you a plank of fish (salmon or tilapia), a bowl of rice, vegetables, choice of salad, and miso soup with a generous portion of tofu. Mehr erfahren
I get their bento boxes for lunch or dinner at least three times a week. Around $6-7 and a good variety. My favourite is the miso salmon. The onigiri aren't amazing, but they're cheap and filling.
Little Tokyo’s premiere bakery undercuts Okonomi price-wise when it comes to breakfast. The premises are functional, and you’ll dine at tables and chairs provided amidst racks of groceries. Mehr erfahren
The spicy tuna bun is awesome- brings together two of my all-time faves: pastry and spicy fish! Perfect for lunch on-the-go or as a snack while exploring the East Village.
The spicy tuna bun (the one with a sheet of nori on top) makes a highly portable and filling lunch. Perfect to pack for a flight or long train/bus ride.
Little Asian cafe/bakery/mart. Chocolate croissant is pretty bomb and their breakfast food is tasty and affordable. Even got some nice outdoor seating too! (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Mehr erfahren
Great place for a cheap lunch – get a bento box from the fridge and heat it in their microwave. You should also get some weird Japanese candy or pastry for dessert.
Try the yakisoba sandwich-encased inside a soft, squishy roll are noodles, pickled ginger, cooked napa cabbage, and bonito flakes, topped by some sort of dried herb.
Japanese breakfast, for sure. But great job on a straight-up egg sand., with potatoes, mixed in a veg of my choice (spinach) with a clump of freshly dressed greens. Around $3.
so so glad this place is back and open for business! the chicken teriyaki sandwich was amazing, and i'm always a sucker for the green tea cream puffs. all their desserts are fantastic!
Had a karaage bento for lunch and spent the next 3 hours getting violently ill. Snooty service for a bakery. Offerings not exactly authentic or even very good.
Just noticed they raised their prices... You'd think with the extra income they could at least learn to manage a queue. I'm quitting Panya today. Officially.
