A vegetarian-friendly source for reasonably priced ramen, soba, and more in Midtown. Be sure to explore the simple Japanese vegetables like tempura and bamboo shoots in chili oil.
Short wait for Friday lunch! I got the menchanko noodles because I was craving a hearty bowl of noodle soup. It came with shrimp, chicken, tofu, etc. Great option for dining out in this area.
Huge space where you won’t have to wait, unlike many other Ramen places with an equally huge menu. Try the Kimchi Menchanko, the Tori Kara and the Menchanko Ramen.
In addition to several varieties of ramen, this midtown spot also offers "Menchanko" soups, inspired by traditional, hearty stews eaten by sumo wrestlers. Mehr erfahren
My second time here in several days. Visiting from Miami, I always look for something new to try. This place is great and reasonable. Get the grilled squid with ginger to start :)
One of the Midtown places to get ramen if scouting from the second tier of ramen restaurants. Hide-chan is better, but lines form up the stairs by 12:15pm.
Very average. The Hakata and tonkotsu are presumably the same things. Nice that they have a deal for noodle dishes though-- $3.50 for two onigiri. Had the spicy kurobata tonkatsu ramen
Ramen is my thing and I approach it with an open mind bc there are so many different varieties (broth, noodles etc) Ramen was HORRIBLE. Couldn't finish it.
Don't listen to the Internets - the Kurobuta Hakata Ramen is bland. Tasteless noodles, weak broth - go to Ippudo, Momofuku or Republic instead. Shoyu Ramen & pork gyoza are however, both pretty good.
