The homemade pastrami sandwich is crazy good. Not just a pile of meat between bread (cough cough Katz's). Paired with fresh dill, house mustard, and buttermilk fermented cucumbers.
Was enticed by a sample of pastrami and got a half sandwich. Pastrami was fantastic, and the other aspects of the sandwich were right on. Old-timey store feel. $10 and change for the half.
Whitefish sandwich is even better than the pastrami - which says a lot because the pastrami sandwich is probably the best I've had in this town. Great place to pick up and go eat in the park.
Walked in and got a sample the other day. Best pastrami I've ever tasted in my life! I didn't know pastrami could be so moist and delicious. Will come again for a sandwich when it's not so hot out.
Yes pastrami is next level, but the hot, fresh sample trumps what the sandwich meat tastes like (although still great). The bluefish salad sandwich is equally good, the bread is amazing & 30% less $
Some of the best pastrami I've ever tasted. Get the sandwich as it has about 1/2 a pound of pastrami. It's a little pricey ($17.50) but absolutely worth it if you can swing it.
Oh man, that is one seriously beautiful pastrami sandwich. The pickles are crisp, the dill's a great addition, the mustard is spicy, and the pastrami is out of this world.
House-cured pastrami is sliced to order and the steamy smoked meat layered into the welcoming pocket of bread, which is much lighter than rye. Mehr erfahren
Get the Pastrami like everyone else suggests. Worth the price since it's all made in-house. Enough to share with someone as a hefty snack. Great staff!
The pastrami sandwich is tasty but for me, it is not worth $19. The place is well designed and sells a lot of specialty foods which might be nice for a special occasion.
🙂strictly for the price:food ratio, otherwise 😑. Nothing quite as unique as their rep suggests. Chicken=skip. Pastrami=good, but not worth traveling for. Blue fish salad = hands down star of show.
I went for the pastrami and pickles. The pastrami is in fact amazing-- thick, salty, fatty. The pickle selection was underwhelming. The menu felt limited, too.
