The delta side is nice and spacious with many options for food. The southwest side is cramped and you can't hear any announcements and food is meh

Much rather fly in and out of SAN rather than LAX. Much less busier. If you can, always fly out of SAN.

Get here early. Seriously. You'll always need a couple hours for check-in and security with the long lines.

When flying into SAN, try to sit on the left side of the aircraft. Great view of the Bay and Downtown.

San Diego is nice but every attraction has a upgrade package and the credit card gets over worked. Watch out for the Avis rental car sharks.

Most expensive parking fee ever. First day is prorated hourly; whilst after the second day, parking is charged per day regardless of time spent after the 24 hour period.

Security is really fast and easy in the PM but get here 2hrs in advance in the super early flights the security line is looooong!

Good news: it's small and easily accessible. Bad news: it's small and has limited facilities. Be sure to eat before you go through security if you want hot food.
