Go early to avoid any lines. Expect a little attitude if you don't know what you want. They are busy. Bagels aren't the best but the fish is. Could eat their lox every day and be happy.

Great bagels but the bread could use improvement. I got the everything wheat bagel with Scottish salmon and scallion lox and it was delicious.

take a number and the wait outside, they show the numbers outside. if the wait is long, take a walk and grab a coffee while you wait.

Best smoked salmon. Talk to them about your taste to get the right cut. Recommend buying a bagel elsewhere though and making your sandwich at home.

Behind the counter is an award-winning array of bagels and bialys ready to be paired with heavenly cream cheese and smoked fish by the helpful staff. The sable is worth the extra shekels.

Lots of yummy food options! We had lots of fun eating in the cafe and taking goodies home with us. Food is healthy and delicious.

Lives up to the hype - this location is not for sitting, take out only. Head over to Orchard St spot, but prepare to wait. Get the Classic Sandwich!

The original appetizing store in NYC. Bring home some whitefish or lox, but at a price. Not much to buy for tourists except chocolates or nuts.

The original store is a much better value than the cafe. The smoked salmon and herring here will forever ruin your enjoyment of store-bought smoked salmon.

This specialty shop on Houston St. has the best smoked fish in the city, but there's so much more here. If you're not in the mood for seafood, try some of the chocolate candy!

There's usually a line on the weekends so grab a number. There are about 5-6 diff types of bagel. The everything was a bit salty for me. Diff choices of cream cheese & salmon to chose from
