Not sure why the ratings are so low. We had the whole fish with tamarind and it was excellent!

Unpretentious setting, excellent sushi. Some of the fish is even flown in from Japan! The wagyu skewers melt in your mouth.
Oldest continually operating bar in Texas. Supposedly Bonnie and Clyde passed through here.
This is the original location. They've expanded a lot (soon to be in Hobby Airport) and the lines are just as long. Be prepared to wait and hunt for parking on the weekends.
Not the best Vietnamese in Houston, but Mai's is open late and remains an essential late-night hangout for Houstonians of all backgrounds.
