- Eric WallsJanuar 9, 2016Recently went and saw the Da Vinci and MC Escher exhibits. Amazing! The regular collection includes some fascinating Ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian pieces.
- The special exhibits require paying for tickets. The rest of the museum only needs a small donation of $3. Don't forget to have lunch in the Iris Restaurant and then take a walk on the grounds.
- The News & ObserverJuly 23, 2012Light is essential to the ever-changing experience of the new museum. In the Classical Court, Roman marble sculptures bask in the morning sun. Openings in the ceiling allow the light to be adjusted. Mehr erfahren
- MarionSeptember 3, 2017The permanent collections, exhibits, and even outdoor space are all wonderful. You can spend a whole day here.
- EmmaJuni 14, 2016The trails are so cool because of the outdoor art around the trails. There is also a cool amphitheatre and now there are two wings to the museum.
- Ashley PhillipsApril 26, 2015Outside cinema in the summer, walk with outside sculpture and enjoy a great museum.
- Michael HuberSeptember 6, 2014Depending on the types of art that interest you, there appears to be a little of everything. Including a little walking trail. Good for a couple hours.
- Janice Vuncannon SearsJuly 25, 2015Love the nature trails, the cloud room, the walking bridge in the Greenway, the outdoor art, the indoor art.
- Mary PhillipsApril 7, 2018Very modern building with an open concept. It’s great for viewing all the different periods of art. Save some time to wander the grounds!
- If you're not too tired from viewing the exhibits, I'd recommend taking a stroll around the grounds.
- SundanceTVJuly 13, 2012They host interesting, solid events (movie series). Their grounds are beautiful and are themselves interesting to look at and explore--and they're free!
- A wonderful museum to look at the art and a great campus to walk around on when it's nice outside.
- Visit North CarolinaJanuar 4, 2011The first publicly funded art museum in the US got an artful makeover in 2010. View over 30 Rodin sculptures, catch a traveling exhibit and explore their great outdoor spaces.
- Teddy MaggianiJanuar 7, 2016Wonderful architecture and stunning modern art as well as classical and Egyptian.
- Susan AgliataDezember 27, 2014Beautiful interior spaces, great event calendar, and lovely sculpture park.
- Paul KardousJuly 1, 2015The new West Building by Architects Phifer & Partners is a pleasure to experience art in.

- Brandy GynMärz 13, 2014Make sure to use the cell phone tour - with audio wand, calling or downloading from website - great insight and one of my favorites!
- Charlotte WAugust 5, 2010New part doesn't look like much from the outside but the atypical layout does wonders for displaying the art. Don't miss the bamboo outside!
- Andrew RomanJanuar 23, 2011The flowers and butterflies that form a jet in the atrium of the old museum building is among my favorite pieces of art ever.
- It's free, and there's lots of great pieces here. What more could you ask for?
- Brandon BeasleyJuni 15, 2010Gotta check out the trails around the property. You'll find hidden art and get a great exercise. The bridge across 440 is fun too.
- Tom SmithApril 22, 2016Thanks to the Goodnight's for giving Raleigh and NC an art museum it can be very proud of.
- Justin BauerNovember 8, 2010Decent museum. Too much security walking around, causes it to lose the relaxed atmosphere you would expect to have at an art museum. I do understand the need though. Not enough parking.
- Grab a glass of wine (or two) and enjoy Art in the Evening on Friday nights from 5:30-8:00 next to Iris. Live music!
