- Ilona KirnosOktober 7, 2013Great ramen. Love the BBQ ramen (special) and the pork buns. The green tea creme Brûlée is good if you like desserts that aren't too sweet.
- Francisca TanMärz 26, 2013It is really worth the wait; the hype about this place is legit!!!!!! Trust me these pork buns are friggin amazing. I only wish I can eat them everyday!
- Christine HaMärz 1, 2016Best tonkotsu ramen. Good pork buns & baby octopus salad. Sometimes long wait--leave name on list & go drink elsewhere. 🍜

- Erick McKessonApril 14, 2013Waited 2.5 hours on Sat night - but they call you when ready, so we loaded up at McSorley's. Ippudo has the most amazing pork bun in the world....arguably the most delicious thing I have ever eaten!
- Max MiaSeptember 29, 2014Hands down the best ramen in NYC. Guess that's why it's nearly a 10! And the appetizers are even more amazing.
- Caitlin McDevittOktober 18, 2017Buns are delicious & the ramen is very good, but not the best in the city. You will get rushed thru your meal and told they need your table for another party, even though they don’t take reservations
- IsaMärz 7, 2017Try the delicious Shiromaru Hakata classic ramen with Shigureni. It's so good, you're going to ask for Kae-dama (more noodles)! Try the lychee martini too:)
- lindai loutunJanuar 24, 2015Try the tuna tartar as appetizer and green tea crème brûlée as dessert! Can't go wrong with the ramen dishes as main. I did like the vegetarian one a lot.
- Alejandro DezagNovember 15, 2014Since the welcoming reaction when you come in and the food (ramen and pork buns) out of this world. Come by without hungry, you'll have to wait at least 2 hours.
- Jastine KhoMai 30, 2016The service was amazing and the ambience was great. The ramen was good; however, I still prefer Toto ramen. Oh, be prepared to wait!
- Silvia CocoNovember 30, 2018Pork buns were amazing and I’m always worried about the pork in ramen being good but this one was delicious - not too fat and melts in your mouth!
- Drew FreyApril 11, 2013Get here before 6:00 and you'll have a chance to sit down before 7:00. Try the Akamura Bowl and for Christ sake, get an order of the Pork Buns.

- Jackson HarrisNovember 17, 2015My favorite ramen shop in NYC. Great for those cold winter days and the food is amazing. Be sure to get there early because there's usually a wait!
- Village VoiceAugust 15, 2014Spice-lovers should go for option number three, the bowl with spicy meat sauce that you stir into the broth, rendering it brick red and incredibly tasty. Mehr erfahren
- Monica TanuwidjajaSeptember 4, 2012The wait is worth the time: went back for the 5th time and still the best IMO. Try the wasabi soyu ramen (vegan): really nice! The soup is not pork broth, just clear soup but very nice.
- Brett PerryApril 6, 2015Everything is fantastic! Very busy place. Expect a wait. Put your name down and go explore the area. They will text you. It is worth the wait! Trust me. Enjoy!
- Luke TakeuchiOktober 3, 2014Some of the best ramen I've had. The noodles are awesome and you can get them topped off if you finish them first.
- Jinnie LOktober 1, 2014I guess everyone knows ippudo. Best ramen place in New York ;) not fan of their pork buns but akamaru modern is very good. Wait time is ridiculous be prepared to wait.
- AhuvaJuly 9, 2017Nice selection of Japanese beer on tap, the Ramen of course can't be beat, and buns are fresh and simple. Expect a 20-30 min wait between 5-10pm

- Tara DeVincenzoNovember 2, 2015wish so much that I saved room to kae-dama my akamaru modern, but the pork buns are worth it. also really sorry for splashing all over the guy next to me.
- Doctore AguacateNovember 11, 2014The wasabi shoyu is a bit sweet, the modern tonkotsu very savory and filling. Best of all- pork buns. Like Japanese pork little Big Macs. Best in town
- Ailie ChangNovember 10, 2014Best Pork Hirata Buns I've ever had. Yuzu Pepper Shrimp is also a good appetizer. For dessert get the Lady M Mille Crepe. The Matcha Brûlée was not good.
- Gavin WongOktober 27, 2013You can't leave without having the Hirata buns (Steamed buns filled with pork slices)! The shiromaru chashu ramen is great too.
- Zack SheppardMärz 1, 2018basically any ramen joint is going to be excellent. they usually have a wait, but they are always worth it. This isn't ramen like from the packages.
- Auds BallOktober 11, 2011Akamaru Modern and Karaka Miso Ramen (Spicy) are BOTH delicious! The pork buns are tasty too. As for the wait to get in be prepared to wait an hour or more, maybe go to a bar near by in the mean time.
- TFebruar 18, 2018If you want a quick ramen fix, Ippudo hasn't disappointed me. I got the classic one.

- Russell HirschornJanuar 5, 2020The 3 miso special ramen was umami all the way. Pork buns were awesome too. Def one of my favorite ramen places hands down.
- Dylan BoydMärz 6, 2015Don't leave this place without trying the Pork Buns. A lovely place for a date, with a wonderfully authentic atmosphere. Fairly inexpensive too! A must try.
- Harry JacobsOktober 18, 2016Got the Akamaru modern. Excellent Ramen as expected, broth is king here -- but not a huge portion. Chashu pork not as great as other spots.
- Aira BowersMärz 26, 2014We waited for like 30minutes to sit down, service is fast though. And foods are worth to wait. I so love the broth that I had in my ramen. :) I will surely come back.
- KhrisApril 20, 2016Hidden Gem in Manhattan! Amazing ramen, great service and killer cocktailsin a very nice ambiance with dope beats bumpin in the background
- MariJuni 24, 2012Hirata Pork Buns, Akamaru Ramen and the daily special ramen are amazing. Definitely better than Momofuku. Went twice around 12:15/12:30 on a weekday & didn't have to wait for a 2-top.
- Brian TorpeyJuly 24, 2013Order 4 sets of pork buns and then ask for Mel, twice. A person names Bo will come out and escort you to the basement. Go to the corner of the room and pull out a red brick. There you will find a map
- Caroline VinasJanuar 23, 2013Bomb food! Get there when it opens to put your name on the list. Usually about a 2-3 hour wait for dinner. But you can leave your number and go to a bar near by while you wait. Worth it. Promise.

- Emiliano ViscarraJanuar 11, 2016Akamaru Modern with Nitamago. Waiting for large groups is always about an hour. I don't like waiting but this place is worth it.
- Classic spot people go to to experience ramen in NYC. If the lineup is too much, the nearby Zundo-Ya has a solid Tonkotsu as well.
- Jack HolmesJuni 22, 2015The best ramen you will have in your entire life, bar none. Fans of spice should get the karaka men.
- Their pork buns & the Akamaru Modern ramen are best two things you will ever eat. Ever. But only order what you can eat as you can't bring home leftovers.
- Joshua GrussJanuar 8, 2018So glad i finally got to try this place. Their ramen definitely lived up to the hype, DELICIOUS!
