- I've had pretty fast service and abysmally slow service -- nearly 30 mins for 2 toasted bagels -- but it's always DELICIOUS. Yummy melting cream cheese on incredible bagels, unf. Also CRAGELS!! Do it.
- SFistAugust 3, 2014Besides having a delightfully homey mural gracing the front of their Geary Boulevard deli where one can find a host of NY-style classics, they also supply doughy goodness in bulk to stores across town Mehr erfahren
- After all these years, a new computer system, staff and management changes and they still cannot execute your order correctly. Check before you leave!!
- Adam ZolotOktober 8, 2012While the bagels are the best SF has to offer, it's the whitefish salad and chopped liver that leave a smile on my face. Seriously good. Seriously.
- The food is great! The problem is with the service. Every time you order food you wonder how close they'll get to actually making your order correctly.
- Scott RoseOktober 24, 2015Thirty years after my first visit, the bagels are the same - flavourful with crunch. Good poppy hamantaschen. Jalapeno bagel is a winner.
- The New Yorker lox + cream cheese style satisfies that deli style craving. Super friendly too.
- They can O.D. on the cream cheese at times (so order "light") but it's a great place for a fresh bagel (though definitely falls short of its NY cousin).
- Ok midrange quality bagels; way too sugary IMO. Their “cragels” weren’t anything unique, a novelty item. Marla’s on Balboa makes a far better bagel but at 3x the cost. Beauty’ in Oakland are the best
- After enjoying one of their toasted bagels, I couldn't stop daydreaming about the next one... Best bagels in the city!
- Neil LMai 15, 2014Cragels: much, much better than I had thought it could be. Dense and chewy like a bagel, but buttery and layered like a croissant!
- Abbey KeckJuly 13, 2014They are a kosher business, so they don't have ham. Get your ham, egg, and cheese bagel at the location in San Carlos.
- Jon RiceDezember 26, 2014Not comparable to a bagel on the east coast, but definitely the best you'll find in the west!
- Max SklarJuly 28, 2014I agree the whitefish was very good.. They were out of tuna which is my usual thing but no complaints about the service
- Toasted rye bagel with lox-spread is the way to go
- Sam LynnDezember 6, 2014The best place for NY style bagels with cream cheese & a black and white cookie
- New management has really improved the service in this place. Great job!
- The food here is quite good, but if there are more than a few customers in the shop, it won't be fast. Plan accordingly.
- Daniel LillyJuni 11, 2018bagel: b+, cragel: c, onion flat: d+, don't be fooled, SF has better than this
- Go early, they can sell out even as early as 8:30am for more popular bagel types.
- FiveStarsMai 30, 2012Use your FiveStars card and get 1 dozen bagels for free. Ask for a card if you don't have one already
- Christina GraceMärz 18, 2011I pretty much like plain bagels with plain cream cheese. I have to say that even their plain bagels with plain cream cheese taste great!
- Mike WinstonMärz 24, 2015One of the better places to get a bagel in SF. The bagel and lox called The New Yorker was tasty and scratched that itch, though the cream cheese was pretty runny. Read more on WinstonWanders below! Mehr erfahren
- Allison YuJuly 11, 2015Nutella cragel - (croissant/bagel) - pretty good but a little dry. Expensive at $4
- Anthony MaggioAugust 8, 2016Didn't live up to the hype. Bagels are fine, but not great. Bagel Bakery in SOMA is still the best in the area.
- owners took the tip option off of the credit card slips, so be sure to bring a couple bucks in cash
- Ian RoussoAugust 5, 2010As a New Yorker, I have to say our bagels are better. However, this place is still worth a visit. It's pretty good
- Mara Tzizik-SwansonNovember 17, 2017They double charged me and then told me "that's what I was going to be charged today". Don't come here. These people will scam you.
- Ken DreifachJuly 2, 2010Good bagels, slow service -- old guy in line (before storming out): "I was a young man when I came in!" (Made me feel like I was back in NYC.)
- Ryan BiegaJuly 14, 2013These are the best bagels in SF. Made authentically and their service is great. You will also be impressed by their pastries and sandwiches. Worth the long bus ride to the Richmond!
- Schlomo RabinowitzDezember 6, 2012Though not a bad place, it's really not made of bagels. AT ALL. It's just normal drywall and such.
