Unusual combo of flavors/eclectic choices for lunch. Try the grilled Caesar salad or gazpacho to start and the kimchee BBQ chicken sandwich or grilled salmon for an entree. Chocolate mousse to finish.

Grapeseed is the perfect mix of ambiance, food, and drink. I appreciated how they crafted their pairings and I am still kicking myself for not doing the dessert pairing. Everything was wonderful .

The best part of an upscale riff on a s'more, based on a chocolate brownie, is its fluffy marshmallow topping (unsinged by any flame), while a Key lime cheesecake tastes citric enough to remove paint. Mehr erfahren

Couples with something important to discuss should request one of the intimate booths, although those diners better have flat stomachs -- the seating is that snug. Mehr erfahren

Short of a splash of great wine, the best way to end a meal is with an elegant round of coconut cream pie, its sweetness cut with a vivid passion fruit sauce. Mehr erfahren

This well-regarded bistro is a wine bar as well. Sit at the bar and order calamari and fried chicken livers, or take in the seasonal menu in the dining room.

The chef offers a seasonal tasting menu that's a real treat. Some of the best meals I've had in Bethesda.

The cooking at Grapeseed is ambitious and sometimes upstaged by the sipping. Mehr erfahren

The blond-wood dining room has the air of a downtown DC hangout. The filet mignon is the only entrée that stays on the menu, but seafood is often more rewarding.

The seafood, swirled with bits of purple onion and minced carrot, is as refreshing a cocktail as you will find in Bethesda. Mehr erfahren

a few sour grapes say it’s “noisy” and “pricey” but they’re crushed by great bunches of folks who “love this place.”

On a Friday night at 7pm and barely anyone in there we waited 30 minutes and never received our drinks. If they were busy I'm not sure you'd ever see your waitress for water!
