Frances James: Delicious fresh seafood - you go and purchase your fish from the stalls across the way, and then order from the menu. The red curry (with snapper) was DELISH

Frances James: Excellent agricole rum. They have a fun tour and cute tasting room with good cocktails

Frances James: Famous Khao Soi - go early because they run out!

Frances James: Very good, traditional Northern Thai food. We loved the fermented pork grilled in banana leaf, sweet leaf soup with ant eggs, and young jackfruit. It's spicy!!

Frances James: Fun tasty cocktails, friendly place with tasty snacks and doggy friends. They have coffee too during the day (no booze til 5pm)

Frances James: This crazy huge market sells EVERYTHING. Do a bit of research on the stuff you're most interested in (vintage clothes/ furniture) or it's easy to get lost in stalls & stalls of random crap

Frances James: Fun bar with DJs and great mojitos. Perfect spot to take a break and people watch after shopping. They have paella!

Frances James: Delicious fried chicken. And the mushroom soup/stew was amazing!

Frances James: Sounds like it might be cheesy, but this was actually a really great bar with high class cocktails (pricey for Thailand), lovely decor, good snacks. It's kinda see-and-be-seen but we enjoyed it

Frances James: Solid cocktail joint; food was hit or miss- stick to Thai food or snacks (their dorito chip appetizer things were amazing!)

Frances James: You can get an excellent Thai massage at the massage school here. Super cheap too!

Frances James: Hipster hangout Wed-Sat nights for shopping, eating, drinking. We didn't have a lot of luck finding cool stuff to buy but there's a lot of clothes (new & used) and tchotchkes

Frances James: Cool speakeasy with no menu (tell the bartender what you like and he/she'll make you something)(not super easy to do with non-native English speakers!)

Frances James: We took a fun biking tour around the "Green lung of Bangkok" with these guys

Frances James: Super cool local market with interesting traditional foods for sale

Frances James: Awesome traditional Thai food, drinks, and live music! So fun!

Frances James: Upscale Thai, Japanese, Western food with extensive wine list and semi-crazy (not super well executed) cocktails

Frances James: Iced latte is great (they freeze the espresso into ice cubes!) Brunch is good, lunch was just okay. Very nice ambience

Frances James: Quirky and cute atmosphere. Cocktail menu is more on the basic side but it's a great place to get a drink. Some nice outside/balcony seating

Frances James: Well executed western style food and delicious Thai-influenced cocktails. Watch out for the chocolate vodka!
