The inside is complete and it's remarkable! It seems kind of futuristic. Gaudí, way ahead of his time. Pick a day with sunlight. Book tickets online to avoid queue. If you have time, walk Avda Gaudí.
The entrance to the hospital if you want to look in the inside is from the 11:00 working days. Come really early to get yourself to the line otherwise you will need ALL DAY.
Nice little cafe across the street of the St. Pau hospital. The street has traffic though, it isn't that quiet. I didn't like the tortilla with potatoes.The place has Wifi.
Amazing park! Gaudí's playful architecture blends perfectly with nature. The monumental zone is a must, requires a ticket, the rest of the park is free. Also the neighbourhood around is interesting.
This is the area of Barcelona’s old city. Roman remains and medieval structures found here. Check out the Barcelona Cathedral. The square hosts a lot of events like an antique market ever Thursday.
It was this square that Antonio Gaudí was travelling to the night he died in 1926. He was hit by a tram on his walk there.
You can pay €2.50 to go to the rooftops of this building. This Cathedral is free to visit anytime except for between 13:00 - 17:00 when a €6 donation is requested (rooftop & choir visit included).

Popular tourist street but watch out for pickpockets. You can find flowers, birds, jewellery and cheap souvenirs here at the stalls. Some really nice, like the small magnets with real mini plants on.
A food market where you can find everything! Meat, fish, fruit, vegetables. A lot of colour! You can find delicious fresh juices with great variety. Cheaper ones are further into the market.
If you are looking for turróns this is the best place to be! Great variety and quality all year although in Spain turróns are consumed near Christmas. Try with caramelized macadamias and pistachio!
Very good food and reasonable prices. Paella was really good! Fixed menu (menu del día) is 10€ (starter, main, dessert). On Thursdays most restaurants include paella at their fixed menu.
If you are looking for ceramic objects & souvenirs this place has a collection from every province of Spain. Really nice and organized but a bit expensive. This one is the biggest of the chain around.
Beautiful park! Entrance to the park is free. It has a lake and a giant mammoth statue! It also has a Zoo inside.
You won't find the most famous Picasso paintings here but the museum is very nice. It has paintings from all his years that help the guest follow the changes in his style and see his work as a whole.
Beautiful cathedral, beautiful enough to inspire a beautiful book by Ildefonso Falcones.
Try the orxata (horchata). A traditional beverage, made of ground almonds, sesame seeds, rice, barley, or tigernuts (chufas). The place also sells turróns but it doesn't have many during summer.
A large plaza in heart of the city, it's a transportation hub which includes the metro, train and Aerobus. Right next to the start of Las Ramblas and Passeig de Gracia. Mehr erfahren.
Another Gaudí masterpiece of modernism architecture. A building full of curves. Way expensive entrance 21,5€. People actually live in some of it's apartments. They also rent the balcony for events.
In this Gaudí building the roof is the most impressive part. The section with Gaudí info was interesting. The apartment inside though is not representative of Gaudí's style, it is rather ordinary.
Very good turróns in taste and quality but it has only two tastes (at least in summertime when they are out of season).

The square outside of MACBA museum, it gathers a lot of skaters. Late at night, young people are hanging around the square drinking beers.
Not the best tapas. Go there for a beer outside on the street watching the MACBA square.
This bar is open from 1820 (they have even kept the dust in place). Gaudí, Picasso and Hemingway used to go there to drink absinthe. It's a classic. Opens at night & it still serves absinthe.
This shopping centre was a bull ring when bull fights were permitted in Cataluña. Nice view from the roof. The glass lift doesn't even worth 1€, take the escalators from the inside.
At a specific time in the afternoons the fountain is lighted up and the speakers play music (Abba, Queen etc.). Lots of people go there for the show and that was more interesting than the show itself.
Comfortable couches, free wifi and excellent architecture at the ground floor! Take the elevator to the roof for a great view. They redesign the Modernism section now, they only exhibit a few pieces.
A place with building representations which showcase the architectural style of various areas of Spain. Shops and restaurants inside. Picturesque but nothing too special, more of a tourist attraction.
Interesting building but the exhibition could be better. I wasn't that captivated by it. Maybe it is because Miro's works feel better outside in their natural surroundings (e.g. murals).
The fixed menu was 25€. The food was really good and ok portions. Great Fideuà (paella style food with shrimps, mussels and thin noodles)! The service was on time, but waiters where kind of grumpy.
Museum with science experiments that you interact with, presentation could be better. Flooded forest is really good! Small recreation of a real tropical forest. It has a capybara! Drug section, lame!
