- Gorgeous theater and the best place in Boston for world-class comedy. Floor seating is the way to go. Balconies have zero leg room.
- Sound isn't the best if you're right up front. Staff will give you a hard time for taking photos so be subtle about it. Venue best for seated Older Person events; it can't handle rock shows.
- Jennifer LeonardMai 2, 2011The Wilbur is a great place to see non-music shows, particularly comedy shows; but the floor seats close the stage are a pain. Balcony seats are best, but don't offer all that much leg room.
- Debra SchultzMai 27, 2023It's nice that the theater is pretty small but if you are at the hightop tables with people in front of you at the same level, it's really hard to see. I really don't like when I can't see at a show.Aug 31 positiv bewertet
- Maria DaRochaDezember 8, 2014Definitely try to get floor seats or balcony seating - the Mezzanine has very uncomfortable and tight seating for anyone over 5'2".
- MJ BJorlieMai 15, 2018Bruce Campbell was extremely funny and very responsive to the audience, wld love to see another live show. Thx Bruce
- Yuval ZukermanOktober 2, 2019Terrific food - rubs and dumplings were excellent. Very. Very. Loud. No need to talk when food is that good.
- The Wilbur Theatre has the best stand up comedy in Boston. Check http://www.TheWilbur.com for a updated show scheduleAug 31 positiv bewertet
- Caitlyn HallApril 30, 2012The staff is super sweet and friendly, really cozy cool place to check out comedians. Womens bathroom is tiny but kind of adorable.
- Seating is a bit tight, but the venue brings in quality artists to make it worth the minor discomfort. Great, intimate spot to catch some stand-up comedy.
- Michael CoutureNovember 18, 2016Nice older theater. Insane drink prices which were half the cost of entry to the show.
- Great venue for a comedy show! but dear god that gin & tonic was unpalatable.
- Kevin SanbornNovember 29, 2010Agreeing with Emily about comedy seating. I had seats right next to the stage and I was miserable. Would have enjoyed the show a lot more in comfy balcony seats.
- RachaelNovember 3, 2012The Wilbur has A+ social media marketing! Look for the signs for the show's official hash tag.
- Massachusetts ConventionMärz 30, 2011Boston Common Garage is a short walk from the Wilbur Theatre. On weekends and evenings (after 4PM) parking is just $11.
- Common Sense: Try to be seated in the middle, the acoustics are much better
- Kelsey SchurJuni 2, 2012Check out DeadBeat at the China Pearl to keep dancing after DSO! It's free and till 2 am!!!
- Deanna M.Januar 29, 2012the balcony seats were so comfortable! staff was professional and very helpful.
- Peepers24Februar 2, 2012Miss the old Domenics across the street. Loved their pizza, and Domenic was great
- Mezzanine or Balcony seating is must for the comedy shows. Don't get squished into those tiny seats & tables on the ground floor.
- Tanya LaClairJanuar 31, 2011cool club, bar location was awkward though causing lines throughout the theater. Great balcony seats.
- Betsy S.Dezember 30, 2012If you're tall, don't sit in the balcony seats. Long legs don't work in balcony seats.
- Amy AllenNovember 30, 2013It is so unbelievably hot in this place that it is unbearable. Second time that I have almost walked out because if the heat. Paying too much to not have the temp control. Melting....
- Diana ChabotOktober 23, 2012Eric stonestreet n Jesse T. Fergerson was a great funny show Happy happy Birthday Jesse
- Timothy McCarthyFebruar 1, 2011The seating here is way to close for comfort, but always has the best shows
- VH1July 21, 2010If you want food, you’re in luck. It’s in Chinatown, so everything around is a good option. – Tucker B.
- Julian WeisserNovember 24, 2011There is really no bad view from the Balcony. I prefer it to being far back and underneath.
- Dennis SJuni 12, 2010Make sure to bring padding for your ass cuz the seats are worse then when I was in elementary school.
- Capt AwesomeJanuar 29, 2011Its got some cute waitresses, bit the place is cold n drafty...most of the seating is crowded and sucks. Wayy better comedy venues in NYC
