- I love their different variety of soy! One of my favorite us the Mango Chicken! And add in a fresh juice; PERFECT!!! Their desserts are wonderful, but I always end up getting a piece of cake to go. :)
- NEIGHBORLY NOTARY NYCMärz 31, 2013Tried the chocolate strawberry shortcake and it looks and sounds about a thousand times better than what it is. Think stale Little Debbie. Will try the carrot cake the next time I want dessert here.
- AliciaJuni 24, 2013Try the Banana Caramel Cheesecake - #vegan made by Vegan Treats, based in PA, but available all over NYC. One of the best cheesecakes I have ever had.
- Michæl StarkeyAugust 10, 2013Line too long for Red Bamboo? This place is easier to get in and has an equally great menu. Same owners as Red Bamboo in addition to Soy and Sake.
- Dave BonanNovember 21, 2011Asian fusion/90% vegan. Really tasty and creative dishes, large portions and affordable prices. There are long dinner lines so best to go at 5pm or 9pm.
- Jenn MessinaOktober 10, 2010Crispy Soul Chicken & Sizzling Beef w/ Yuca Fries = heaven. Great place to bring a book and have a great meal, or prove to others that veg food is not only edible but addictive!
- Lovely G.August 12, 2014I've been going here for years and they never disappoint. I recommend the Hawaiian fried chicken, spring rolls and duck.
- Sujay ShahMärz 27, 2012Nice Vegan/Vegetarian place close to NYU. Creative dishes, great taste.Kung Pao chicken is pretty good... also try the rolls!
- I love coming here!! so many different food to choose from and their cakes are absolutely vegan!! :D
- DanyellJuni 13, 2010Red Bamboo is always full, VP2 is just as good & never as crowded-I may have a new favorite place. It's right next door & owned by the same people. So try here instead!
- NEIGHBORLY NOTARY NYCMärz 31, 2013Try the salad with Peking spare ribs. If i lived nearby, I would eat here every day.
- Katy KrollOktober 28, 2010No longer affiliated with Red Bamboo (heard it was sold), the food had changed a bit. Not everything is as yummy as before. But still worth an occasional visit :)
- Sarah LopezAugust 5, 2011Incredible--as an omnivore, even I endorse!! 'Beef' w yuca very good, and coconut 'chicken' was delish.
- try their vegan desserts! I always get them after a nice meal!
- Margot GOktober 9, 2011The apple grapefruit ginger juice is fantastic! The brunch special is a great deal. Unfortunately the service is slow.
- Marjy GNovember 14, 2012I would like to see more soy free choices but try the montego (jerk chicken sandwich).
- Wandering BaileySeptember 4, 2014Soul nuggets, drum sticks, jerk chicken, ribs <3 not too keen on the seafood.
- Kung Pao Chicken is so good. Also, they play Nujabes here. BadASS.
- NEIGHBORLY NOTARY NYCMärz 31, 2013My wish is that VP2 will open in the Rock Center food court some day soon.
- Two words: DIM SUM. rice ball dumplings are my favorite.
- Kevin McLoughlinOktober 6, 2011Sharing dessert may be romantic, frugal, and slimming, but you'll want their chocolate cake all to yourself.
- Adam PoswolskyDezember 30, 2012No cell service. BBQ ribs are great but stay away from Texas Fried Chicken.
- Laura TuckerDezember 25, 2012Seriously, don't order the Singapore noodles, it's gross. No idea why they're so obsessed with meat replacements, I'm not one to pine over the taste and texture of meat. Just bad.
- ᴡJuni 20, 2011My party of 5 waited 30+mins when told a 10-15min wait. When we were sat, waited for another 10 before WE asked for a server. And then continual bad service, on top there was an 18% tip auto charged.
- Chicken and fries. Or country fried chicken.
- Get the Grilled Portobello Mushroom Sandwich with french fries! Scrumptious!
- David MeyerFebruar 18, 2012Not a fan. Food was gross and runny. Server was unfriendly and decor is ugly and/or falling apart. Rather wait next door for Red Bamboo.
- choice items. soul chicken, peking duck, and turkey sandwich.
