DJuly 28, 2014The domestic, US (E gates), and domestic arrivals all have spas so you can get a massage to kill airport time. International does not. :(
Nicest airport I've ever been in. Make sure you give yourself extra time to get through security. On rare occasions they can be painfully slow.

Always remember to remove your belt when going through security. It's the one thing I forget and get dinged on.

If you don't have your luggage beside you and sleep, security will wake you and think you are homeless.... Mine was stuck between international and domestic waiting for it to open at 6am.

If you're new to Vancouver and heading Downtown take the Canada Line skytrain it's way cheaper than a cab.
Free Wifi. Fast, convenient and easy to use self-checkout machines for Canadians at the Customs gate.
The domestic Nexus/FastTrack line is not very efficient; next time I will consider using the regular line.
I arrive late at night and leave early morning when it’s still dark, so nothing is open when I’m there. :(

Good tip, NEXUS pass can safe you loads of time at security but it closes at 4:30pm.
IanOktober 7, 2010Power plugs are at the bottom of the support columns at the gate seating areas. They even have little laptop symbols indicating it is okay to use.
Ladies try to get your bags and exit the luggage line up before taking a restroom break or you will be waiting in line forever.

Departing the YVR to take the Millennium Line will cost you 9$ a ticket. They don't care for bus passes or polite Canadians. Bring a fare save ticket.
One of the best Airports in North America. Free Wifi is awesome.

US flight after 8:30pm? You depart out of the International Terminal and will go through customs upon arrival in the US.
