Probably everything, but we had a glazed donut and a voodoo donut. Both were fresh, doughy and not too sweet. The voodoo was chocolate covered and raspberry filled. Yum!
Our favorite: the Memphis MafiaDoughnut made of fried dough with banana chunks & cinnamon sugar covered in a glaze with chocolate frosting, peanut butter, peanuts & chocolate chips on top!
Normally places are like, "oh you're a vegan? We have a dessert for you. I hope you like it. This is our only one." Voodoo makes a vegan verity of almost every menu item
Be prepared to wait in line for a bit in the mornings. It moves pretty quick and they do not run out. Just about any donut on the menu is good. Be careful, it's easy to over order. These donuts a huge
Lot of varieties of donuts, even some crazy ones haha definitely you need to try the maple one and Portland cream (it comes with lot of cream!!). They are big and the price is good! Plus, it's open 24
A number of locals told us to go to Blue Star instead. Of course we did both, and they’re both delicious, so don’t let anyone convince you to skip voodoo! ODB and voodoo donuts both were 👌🏼
DO NOT PASS BY THIS PLACE DESPITE THE LINE! It so sooooooooo worth it. I loved the chocolateOreopeanut butter one. The voodoo doll was a little too sweet for me. Bacon maple bar was good too.
The curler cinnamon sugardonut tastes like a churro and the captain crunch and apple fritter is really good, the voodoo doll had WAY too much rasberry filling, awesome place though, really cool vibe.
Amazing and worth the wait! Take the time to read menu before you go and ur helps you choose better because it's overwhelming when faced with that much sugar. :)
Get any of the Oreos!!!!! They're amazing! Plenty of choices, and you can't go wrong with any of them. Cash only, long line, and yes, it's worth the wait! Couple of ATMs right next door (on SW 3rd).
My personal favorite is the McMinnville Cream (love the maplefrosting and the cream filling - less cakey than the rest). The voodoo doll is a must-try, their jam filling is awesome.
Loved it. Great designs, and for a reasonable price especially for Portland. Unmistakable pink box, too! It's extremely busy so just be careful when you go, you might find yourself in a long line!
Take the Voodoo Tshirt challenge!! Visit all 3 locations in one day, bring in all the receipts to the final stop, and get a FREE TSHIRT!!! Voodoo, Voodoo Too, and Voodoo Tres (in Eugene)!
I debated with myself for 15 mins before stopping by Voodoo (did I need the extra sugar). And I’m glad I did! The Portland cream was delish as people praised it. The softest donuts I’ve eaten !
Memphis Mafia was a feat to finish, but man, it was INCREDIBLE. Despite the oodles of sugary goodness on top, the doughnut itself was the freshest I've ever had. Swallow your tourist-averse shame & GO
Cool experience, great stuff. The pothole was amazing. Normally specialty doughnuts are expensive. Everything is priced right. Got two plus coffee for $6! Went at 11 on a Wednes, maybe a 5 minute wait
Very unique and nice place. I loved the concept and creativity. Prices were reasonable. Tasty donuts. Just a few minutes in the waiting line but it was ok.
Open 24 hours a day, cash only. Check online ahead of time if possible for donut choices. Buying a dozen is your best bet considering the wait. The donuts are creative, tasty, & some are humerous.
Voodoo pushes the limits with treats like the Voodoo Doll (with a pretzel stake to the heart), and less morbid options like cereal-topped fritters (Captain My Captain is covered with Cap’n Crunch).
Iconic place that is must see! It is well worth the wait in line, but they only take cash. Do not bring plastic there. Watch out for the panhandlers outside, they put a damper on our experience.
Long line (45 min total) Homer: simple, delicious. Dirt: good. MapleBacon: great flavor. PortlandCreme: loved it. TripleChoco: stale Cocoa Puffs, pass on this. VoodooDoll: good bt too sweet w/ filling
The real donuts are at Blue Star. This one would be fun for kids due to all the vibrant colors and playful donut ideas...but they're just not nearly as tasty as Blue Star.
The donuts are definitely fun, weird, and ridiculous. Taste-wise? They're amazing! The line goes around the corner, cash only. But you can't visit Portland without dropping by! :)
If they have it, try the Homer Simpson (vanilla cake with a strawberry icing, I'm forgetting the other parts). Really hope it becomes a regular because it was delish!
I had a great mangodoughnut. Long queue, but worth it. Watch out for homeless people outside though - we saw a woman try to forcibly reach into someone's box and help herself.
the old fashioneddonut with maple syrup was toooooooo sweet for me Orz i like cinnamon crueller better~ i thought it tasted like the french crueller of mister donuts with cinnamon
This PDX favorite serves up doughnuts with names like "Dirt" and "Cock-n-Balls" (double cream filled) as well as a bacon-topped doughnut and several vegan specialties. - IFC Staff
Long wait, but worthwhile. The ODB was fab. The dough itself is really the standout, so get whatever topping sounds tasty. I found the maple on the maple bacon to be too sweet.
It's nice to get a doughnut from here if you're looking for something unique to try. Keep in mind they aren't as good as people may lead you to believe.
