Try one of the signature burgers here, such as the Frenchie: a 6 oz. beef patty with pork belly confit, arugula, tomato-onion compote, and melted morbier cheese.
When I’m at DBGB I let our sommelier recommend his favorite beer of the moment and pair it with one of our charcutier’s homemade sausages. For dessert, the spectacular baked Alaska is my go-to.
Go with a group and try as many different things as possible. Exquisite variety of beer and wine to accompany an exhilarating array of sausages and other bites. Artistically modern gastropub. Love it.
The front bar area is perfect for a big group celebration! The space is impressive and the decor is sleek. The food? So good! Try one of the sausages and go with the burger or salmon.
pots from kitchens of all of boulud's friends surround you as you eat. so does the friendliest staff. braised tuscan kale, beaujolaise, & frenchie are musts. the restaurant is beautiful inside & out.
Buen ambiente, la atención también la comida rica. El hot dog con yogurt de menta, cebolla morada y jitomate cherry. De postre un sundae de vainilla con chocolate y trozos de brownie.
Great price, excelent ambiance and amazing food. I know that the sausages are the best thing here, but I had the Icelandic Cod and really loved it! I strongly recommend it.
If doing the bottomless brunch ordering the French toast signifies the end of the drinks. Beware the French toast! Order more drinks first!! Food is great by the way.
When DBGB opened in June 2009 Daniel Boulud was intent on creating three signature and blow-out burgers. The Yankee is the classic American burger with a twist and is served with Essex Street Pickles. Mehr erfahren
A fantastic menu (sausage, anyone?) with a selection of Shandys on the drink menu! I had an omelet & it was the creamiest, fluffiness egg experience I've ever had. Sitting outside is also quite nice.
Omg the burgers. Good bar, great food, nice spot. I would definitely recommend for a group dinner or double date. Easy to make a reservation also since the place has a good amount of seating.
DBGB is consistently good. You can almost always grab a spot in the bar area w/c has the same menu as the main room. Faves r the matzo ball soup, thai sausage, & piggie. Awesome beer selection, too!
Still crazygood after all these years. Can't go wrong with the sausages or burgers. Bartender and sommelier were super helpful for picking the perfect beer, wine, or cocktail to pair with food.
Vegetarians: the potato gnocchi is a MUST! The beet salad was a great appetizer as well (or a meal if you're not too hungry--it's a pretty big portion). Ladies: the DB spritzer was a delish drink!
Definitely get "The Piggie" it's a 7oz beef patty topped with housemade pulled pork, jalapeo mayonnaise & boston lettuce on a cheddar bun with mustard-vinegar slaw...this burger melts in your mouth
Must get the saucissons! Try the Boudin Basque (blood & pig's head saussage) and Beaujolaise. Also get a liter stein of any of their 22 craft beers on tap.
When DBGB opened in June 2009, Daniel Boulud was intent on creating three signature and blow-out burgers. The Piggie is the less-traditional of the burgers. Mehr erfahren
Must try: the French-inspired Meyer Lemon Pistachio Sundae ($9) with creamy pistachio ice cream playing off tart lemon sorbet, spongy petit madeleines and crunchy thyme-infused meringues. Mehr erfahren
"The glittering Plateau De Fruits De Mar menus can be ordered from the raw bar, the green market menu, or “For the Table” during brunch. Whichever platter (Petit $35.00, Grand $65, Royale $90)..." Mehr erfahren
Heaven is lined with goblets of peach cassis. The sweetest dreams fit in a glass bowl at DBGB. Frenchie and steak were delightful, but returning just for dessert is not even a question.
Daniel Boulud's gift to lower NY, Daniel food at East Village prices. What a gift. Theres a reason why its 4 deep at the bar. And you have one of the greatest french chefs in the world....
tuna crudo is fine. shrimp cocktail is fine. but this is a meaty establishment. get the sausage. get "the Vermont." also: great cocktails. + not as crowded a place as u think.
Chef Boulud scores again! Order the boudin basque (blood sausage), iceberg and chive salad, head cheese, burgers, fries, and matzo ball soup. If you are there when the chocolate beer is in season, it
Fabulous all around. Swank but cozy decor, friendly and impeccable service. The plateau de fruits de mer is an awesome starter to share, and the burger was worth breaking my vegetarianism for!
Named after CBGB, Daniel Boulud has created a great environment here. Come here for lunch and get the prix fixe for $27. We recommend the lamb merguez sausage or piggie burger.
Excellent, rustic French fare. All the burgers are dynamite; however our favorite is “The Frenchie”. If you’re up before 11AM on a Sunday, try the brunch which is equally delicious.
Serious no-holds-barred gut-busting high-end burgers & sausages & delicious cocktails that pack a punch. I can never seem to resist ending with a decadent ice cream sundae. Leave your diet at home.
Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud's downtown spot serves pork-belly-topped burgers and great sausages (try the blood and pig's head sausage) with an extensive beer list (24 on tap and 63 bottled). Mehr erfahren
Daniel Boulud French gastropub meets downtown chic: their bloody marys are a killer. Also delicious brunch, like their chevre-herbed omelette. Their Frenchie burger is amazing.
Star chef Daniel Boulud's gastropub, serves three heaping burgers: The Piggy, with pulled pork and jalapeño mayo; The Yankee, with Essex St. pickles; and The Frenchie, topped with confit pork belly.
You can't go wrong with any of the meats. Also, the desserts are delightful, and the atmosphere is amazing. Definitely among my top 5 restaurants in NYC.
You know hot dogs have gone gourmet for good when even Daniel Boulud has one on the menu. Made from ground beef shoulder, this fancy frank comes on a house-made bun with spicy mustard and fresh relish Mehr erfahren
This place is a festival of bros in untucked button-downs. So it's appropriate that the menu is all about sausage. And it's damn good -- especially the Vermont and the Korean.
othing but FANTASTIC things to say about this place. me and mr have been here a handful of times and is ALWAYS one of our FAV places to go on weekends. ALWAYS treated us like kings.i vote HELL YA
