Numerous archaeological sites bear witness to the rich life and strategic importance of this valley in ancient times. WWI (Isonzo front) is one of the most important stories near Soca River.

People of the Soča Valley have known about very good food for a long time. Diversity is a special feature of the restaurants of Kobarid, but they have enough in common for creating Gastronomic Circle.
