11/1/14 - the Lonesome Go Release Party with Tim Lane

Tim Lane, one of St. Louis' most influential & popular indie cartoonist, will be hosting a special release party for his newest Fantagraphics book, The Lonesome Go, at Star Clipper on Saturday, November 1st. Come meet Tim Lane and get an autographed copy of The Lonesome Go. Tim will also be hosting a carousel film connected to his new graphic novel and the short film will be accompanied with a live musical performance. About The Lonesome Go: Tim Lane continues his exploration of the Great American Mythological Drama that began with his first book, the critically acclaimed Abandoned Cars. This collection of stories is broadly linked together by the experience of wandering both literally and figuratively. With compelling verisimilitude, the lives of his characters are depicted by way of rich mixtures of obscure myths and documented facts, dreams and reality, belief and disbelief, throughout a haunted landscape populated by the ghosts of a complex and rich fictional tapestry. Sorry, we do not buy or appraise comic collections. Please contact Mound City Auctions or Vintage Stock (neither affiliated with Star Clipper) for assistance in the St. Louis Metro area.

Does Star Clipper Buy Graphic Novels?

Yes, we do! Every Thursday and Sunday a qualified buyer will be available to give an estimate on gently used graphic novels from 10 am to 7 pm. Please be advised that we will need a valid I.D. and completed Book Purchase form to buy from you. Cash or store credit option available.

Subscriptions

Does Star Clipper Have a Subscription Service?

Yes! It is free of charge to set up a “Pull and Hold” at our brick-and-mortar location.

What Are the Ground Rules?

We require a completed Credit Card Authorization form to begin a subscription. We also request that customers purchase the complete contents of their Pull at least once every 30 days, and purchase whatever they have ordered.

How Do I Edit My Sub List?

At this time, additions or changes may be emailed, called in to us or given in person (please note that certain orders such as items from non-premier publishers or orders canceled less than two weeks before shipping may not be eligible for cancellation) . We accept select books, zines, merchandise and artwork on a consignment basis. Submissions must first be reviewed before acceptance, so please send us a link to view your product; then, download our consignment form here.
