- Southwest gate agents aren’t online until 5 AM or so - plan accordingly when taking a redeye and get some more sleep.
- Looks nice and fancy but completely dysfunctional. Most restaurants out of business. Always out of everything. Starbucks runs out of coffee. Coffee! CC and cash register systems constantly go down.
- Arrival TimeIt is recommended that you arrive 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure for check in and security processing for domestic flights and 2 hours prior for international flights.
- Once inside the airport, getting through from check-in to gate is not bad. Rental vehicles are off-site, and the rental shuttles are a good walk from the terminals.
- Free wifi, and what has been done to renovate their terminal is awesome. Wide open, clean, efficient w/ plenty of eating options too.
- Simple and smaller airport...but one of the best! Easy to get in and out of and the people are very friendly!!
- Ryan SJuni 25, 2014Been here 4-5 times and have never waited longer than 10-15 mins to go through security. Super fast, super easy!!
- Really nice airport here but it’s a long walk without moving sidewalks if you go in the wrong entrance for your airline.
- Lots of people with lots of first world problems. if you can afford to fly - you are better off than 95% of the world. The FREE wifi is slow when I am sitting in my massage chair.
- Bethany KempAugust 30, 2014If you have $10, thirty minutes to spare, and no boyfriend, the massage chairs located throughout terminal B are a must.
- Damithri SilvaOktober 26, 2012Free wifi and two power sockets and a usb charger in every seat! Great food selection too.
- New Charging station area with desks, chairs, and plenty if power outlets. Across from gate 18.
- I think we’ve got a decent set of food options now.. Peet’s coffee, Mexican Grill, Smash burger etc., the charging ports under the seats aren’t working anymore
- Awesome airport! Fly here for easy access to Santa Cruz, Monterey or Carmel. Love the rental car center!
- SherlockeyJanuar 25, 2019one of my favorite airports! Not crowed, clean and tidy. Wifi is free and super fast!
- EArchitectJanuar 10, 2015If you're renting a car, Enterprise has the lowest rates. Rent for a day from the airport, switch to a rental at a non-airport location to get lower rates to avoid airport/tourism fees/taxes.
- Carl DensingJuni 15, 2013This has to be the best airport in the US. It's super modern, spacious, and clean, which is a big fucking deal, LAX!
- Minion RepublicNovember 1, 2013Starbucks near Gate 13 so don't buy coffee outside!! And don't forget your sharpie keychain stuffs, very strict & no way to leave at airport/airline and claim it when you get back.
- Individual power outlets in the arm rests in the chairs facing the window! (Southwest Terminal). A 'Power' view :)
- Easy walk to the rental car garage and just about anywhere. Small and modern. Much less of a hassle than SFO.
- There's a piano here that anybody can play while waiting for your flight.
- Always a ghost town. This airport is known for being one of the least utilized airports around. That makes it great to get in and out of!
- Judith AndrewsMai 31, 2014Best food (and choices) is in Terminal B. If you have the time, just walk down to the higher numbered gates and you're there!
- Sharbani MazumderOktober 14, 2014Fun place to work at. Food are good inside the security check point. You get free WiFi connection.
- Hashim RazaSeptember 11, 2017This is a quiet, not busy airport making flying in and out of San Jose very easy. Preferred airport for Bay Area.
- "Entertain us if you please, but please be gentle to the keys." I like the piano placed in the middle of the baggage claim and the people who play it.
- Spacious airport, usually fast TSA lines and plugs and charges between seats.
- Marty YawnickMärz 30, 2013No more American Airlines Admiral's Club. The Club at SJC is the only lounge in the airport. It's really nice! $35/person to get in unless you have a Priority Pass, one of the perks of AmEx Platinum.
- The relay in-between Terml A and Terml B is very peacefull and quiet.... without Volaris passengers sitting there of course!! lol. Gotta love the huge painting tho!! NICE!
- Amy LeighNovember 9, 2017Large airport, fairly easy to navigate. Many windows, terminal b right near car rental
- Nice small airport! Much closer to the Bay Area than SFO, and easier and friendlier too.
- Crystal M.März 8, 2015Go to the lounge in terminal A near the intl gates. $35 gets you hot food items and drinks including alcohol. Not to mention, faster wifi, comfy seats and workstation desks.
- I can get my bags, laptop, liquids, shoes, and metal accessories into the gray TSA trays in under 20 seconds, and you can too. I believe in you.
- Has to be the LEAST pedestrian-friendly airport of just about any airport I regularly fly from
- Love the Airport except for the long walk after a long flight from gate to baggage claim area.
- Paul DoughertyJuly 14, 2013Awesome gorgeous terminal. !!! Must see kinda place, that Norman guy got a real keepsake name for himself........
- Lounge is okay. Decent variety of snacks and drinks and comfortable seating. Free Wi-Fi with no sign in required. No private spaces for phone calls, though.
- My favorite mid-size airport with a growing list of international destinations.
- Great airport!!! Very convenient parking and terminal A is very new and shiny.
- Smaller, easier to navigate than SFO, especially Southwest and American Airlines
- AT&TSeptember 6, 2011While you’re waiting for your flight, you can stay connected with AT&T Wi-Fi. It’s easy to connect and free for AT&T customers w/ certain smartphone or home broadband plans.
- There's no skyteam lounge and otherwise mediocre amenities at SJC. There's no reason to arrive early if you have TSA Pre and can clear security quickly.
- Small but efficient airport, from drop off to gate usually less than 30 mins!
- Goutham GaneshJuly 23, 2016At Terminal A12! Lot of seating available but no power outlets!! Not many options for food!
- Quick and efficient. This is an airport made for commuters and doesn't come with a lot of bells & whistles.
- Rental cars are super close to the Southwest Airlines terminal. Easy airport to get in and out of
