Ethiopian food is some of my favorite. It's great for vegetarians too. Adey Abeba is delicious and one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in town.
Big fan of bagels and coffee, so this is one of my favorite places. Choosing between sweet and savory bagels is hard though.

Probably the best hotel in Brunei. Even if you're not staying here, watch the sunset and have some juice. It's a lovely place to walk around and take it all in.

Order a lot of dishes and share with everyone. Go heavy on the seafood and light on the vegetables.
Before and after sunset, watching the street performers is a ton of fun. Bands come and go every day.
I stayed at Basaga House for about three weeks. Great staff. Fast wifi. Delicious food. A wonderful place to return to.
Surprisingly good wifi. Friendly staff, cheap prices, good food as well. If you're going to stay somewhere for a while, Basaga is a nice place to stay. The pool is just an added bonus.
Okonomiyaki. This is what Osaka and Kansai are known for. And this restaurant is one of the best! Did you order too much? Good! Order more than you can eat to try as much as possible.
Italian food in Osaka?! It's not the most authentic but the pizza is quite good here. Convenient location too.
Large Starbucks with lots of seating. Wifi gets slow when it's packed but otherwise it's great for working.
Great cocktails. No need to stick to whiskey here but if you like it, let the bartender whip you up something incredible.
The bone marrow was delicious, as was the burger. But the rooftop setting was my favorite part.
