I've never had Mediterranean food as close to home cooking as Palmyra! Awesome family at work from prep to grill to service. Grandma prepping is the only proof you need for authenticity!

The best - no question - rotisserie chicken in SF. Hot. Properly cooked. Great flavour. Moist. And, excellent value!

Amazingly fresh, delicious Syrian food. Best I've had outside Syria. Fantastic Babaganouj, felafel, tabouli, ecstatic desserts, great Turkish coffee. The owner is a warm, delightful host. YES!

Amazing, fresh, awesome flavors, one of the best in SF, highly recommend. These people are culinary artists, fresh fresh fresh. And very reasonable. Food made with love.

Family owned restaurant, super good food and amazing family. We chatted with the owner and got free baklava, which was the best baklava I've ever had! Falafel and mujadara wraps yumm.

The chicken kebab meal is a lot of food for a low price and the shawarma wraps are the best lunch deal in the neighborhood.

The owner is a remarkable man. Generous and engaging. The lentil soup, golden yellow in color was rich and flavorful. The Falafel wrap with eggplant was delicious. A place for time traveling.

This place is super cheap and delicious, great for lunch. Better than Hayes and Kebab and less expensive. Plus the staff is very friendly and hospitable.

As others have said: great little Syrian lunch spot with food at a nice price. Local mom-and-pop shop worth supporting.

New favorite spot for falafel wraps. Portions are on the smaller side but it's cheap and the staff is very friendly.

Wow. The chicken salad was amazing. The dressing was amazing and the chicken was super tasty and freshly roasted. Looking forward to next time.

Great beef shwarma and friendly family service. Don't hesitate to ask for more pita or hummus! They're real nice about it.

Kebab or Shawarma plates are the way to go. The family that runs this place are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.

The foul (pron. "fool") is Syrian style -- fragrant with just a hint of spiciness. Try it with humus and pita. Think Mediterranean salsa.
