To-do Stockholm

Nicholas: My favorite Stockholm cafe. Specializing in beautiful pastries, breads, and cakes. Hand-crafted playlists compliment this clean cafe's sometimes-bright, sometimes-dim, always-enjoyable atmosphere.

Nicholas: Inexpensive, high-quality, standing-room-only style espresso bar.

Nicholas: Delicious, sweet muffins in a variety of flavors. Usually excellent music and great outdoor people-watching on Drottninggatan.

Nicholas: One of few Mexican restaurants with a simple menu. Semi-underground, look for stairs down from the door on the street.

Nicholas: Semi-underground bookstore inside the lovely Sturegallerian mall.

Nicholas: Ah, Espresso House, the Starbucks of Stockholm with free refills on coffee. This location is particularly cozy and highly-trafficked.

Nicholas: One of the foremost museums I've been to.

Nicholas: All-you-can-eat buffet including tea and coffee. Student price on Monday. Excellent view of the city. Tight space. Make reservations if possible.

Nicholas: Take a short walk up to Hermans from Slussen and enjoy this incredible view of Stockholm.

Nicholas: Cheap (70kr), filling lunch. Quality is moderate, atmosphere isn't the best.

Nicholas: My favorite Stockholm bar. Always excellent music, usually from DJs set-up at the bar.

Nicholas: Check out the scale model of Stockholm! Free, but with plenty to purchase including coffee from four cafes, theater tickets, and other random merchandise.

Nicholas: From an American's perspective, you might not find their hot chocolate noteworthy.

Nicholas: Includes a cafe with floor-to-ceiling windows providing an impressive view of Djurgarden and Ostermalm on a sunny day.

DHR.com: The Vasa Museum in Stockholm is one of Scandinavia's most visited museums. This place is home to the 17th century ship Vasa. Also has 4 other museum ships. Opens at 10am. Guided tours available.

Nicholas: Check out this Swedish semi-self-service restaurant before/after visiting the Vasamusset on Djurgården.

Nicholas: Wonderful outdoor/semi-outdoor greenhouse cafe in the heart of Djurgarden. If you're looking for a nice walk, getting here on foot is recommended.

Nicholas: If you're taking a walk around Kungsholmen, stop here for coffee on your way to the city hall.

Nicholas: An almost-magical floating bar on the southern shore of Kungsholmen. Extraordinarily busy on a weekend with good weather.

Nicholas: The seat of city government and home to the famed Nobel Banquet. Tours and views of lake Mälaren available.

Nicholas: Beautiful park when it's full of beautiful people. Stop here with a coffee to-go from Cafe Saturnus and a kanelbulle (cinnamon bun) to share.

Dealivery: One of many parks in Stockholm, but probably the nicest. Take one hour to walk through this beautiful park located close to the central part of Stockholm. Stay look at the views and enjoy. Mehr erfahren.
