#StaffPick Lauren (Education): This is a gift to the borough - engaging shows (for people of all ages) and under publicized works by artists. I had to drag my kids out after 3 hours in the galleries.

Come here after 4pm on Fridays for Free Admission! The Jim Henson exhibit is very cool – see it before it closes. Check their film-screening schedule – it’s included in your admission.

Martin Scorsese exhibit is SO COOL. I loved looking at how the movies have evolved. Definitely worth a hike to the Queens

Check the screenings schedule and plan to stay for at least 4 hours! Such a great museum. Bring a couple dollars for antique arcade games upstairs :)

If you can go on a weekday, it's best as you'll avoid all the kids. Lots of old retro 80s arcade games to play and some great Hollywood memorabilia.

Get a custom flipbook: film it in the exhibit, buy it in the gift shop for $10! Also, the stop motion animation activity is cool and can be emailed!

You can get in FREE on Fridays from 4-8pm. Beware though, if you have young children: no strollers are allowed.

Went here the day after the re-opening. Get there early since it gets very crowded and there are interactive exhibits that are much better experienced when you actually get to interact with them.

Not food, but a great display of artifacts from the cinema. Good screenings. Make sure to go if you like the muppets.

Go to the video game section. They have very old arcade machines. I played Donkey Kong and Defender. Bring quarters.
