Time Out ChicagoJuni 4, 2012Outstanding sums up this delicious coffee roastery and hangout for Edgewater residents. In addition to serving up a mean cup of java, MCC also offers premium-grade teas and a small menu.
Cappuccinos are delicious! Whole beans are fresh and they will grind them to your specific machine if you don't have a grinder. My favorite beans are Spice Island, La Cordillera and Red Line.

Their RedLine espresso is the best espresso I've ever had. Anywhere in the world. Do yourself a favour and get an espresso or americano - don't bother with the milk or sugar. Great coffee and the iced lattes are a standout here. They are one of the few coffeehouses that actually froth the milk in their iced espresso drinks, giving it a nice texture.
By far, the #1 coffee shop in Chicago and perhaps even the US. They purchase fair trade beans, roast locally and sell from this store and at many retail locations. Owners and staff R the best ever.

Joe FifieldMai 16, 2013The Chai is very good. I was a little disappointed that they don't brew it themselves, though... Lots of good table space for studying. Props for having tons of outlets.
It's cheaper than comparable roaster-owned coffeehouses, and is, in my opinion, the best. However, it is always at capacity and has embarrassingly slow wifi with a perpetually changing password.
Try a shot of their new single origin espresso! Redline espresso is also great. Very skilled baristas and great vibe, great coffee.

$2 off on a lb of beans on Thursdays + punch card for buy 9, get 10th free = a pretty solid deal on excellent coffee. Oh, and a free small coffee with bean purchase.

James StewartMärz 30, 2013A rather so-so cappuccino, with the espresso overwhelmed by the milk and the foam very wet (so in effect more like a milky flat white than a cappuccino). Good buzz to the place, though.
Best Mexican Mocha I've had every visit. Don't know what that is? Give it a try!

Hands down the best beans in Chicagoland. Big ups to La Cordelliera blend. Buy them whole and grind at home.

The 8 oz cappuccino has just as much espresso but less milk than the 12 oz. Thanks to the unknown barista who told me this.
I love this place ..great coffee , nice people and it is good spot for studying ....
