Don't forget to check out the Japanese Garden, waterfall, and zoo. They have bison, bears, and an eagle.

Scott KJuly 23, 2010Most wonderful park and zoo..free and over 200 acres. Wicked Itl. Gardens and Jap. gardens. When ur done u will be tired 2 be sure.- No lions or tigers, but yes, they have bears.

Maymont was given to us by James and Sallie Dooley, who lived here from 1893 through 1925. They wanted Maymont to be preserved so that new generations could enjoy it as much as they did.
