They say there is a double bottom in this lake. One of legends say, that a long time ago there was a castle on the lake's place.
The Chapel of St. Jacob was built in XIX century (1883-1886) on the ruins of a wooden temple dated on XI century.
The Castle of Gostynin was built in the XIV century. Destroyed during different wars, it was first rebuilt in 1822-1825 and then in 2009 (and looks awfully, like a modern villa now)
