Masterpieces by many artists can be seen here. My favourites are the marble sculptures by Bernini. Book and be punctual or you'll have to wait for the next turn to enter (that's up to two hours!)
Beautiful place with lots of green, running and biking trails, quiet spots, a zoo, the gorgeous Galleria with Bernini's masterpieces, fresh air... What more could I want? Oh, I also had good company.
A very big beautiful garden you have to visit in Rome , you can rent a bike , bike wagon , golf car and a Segway

You can grab an ice-cream from nearby shops and sit for a while.. Or you can go up the hill and there's a nice Park with a nice view of the piazza.
It's a very small coffee shop not to far from the Vatican but in my humble opinion they might just make the best espresso in Rome or the world.

One of the most popular places of Rome. One way leads Piazza del Popolo, the other side hands the most famous brand shops. It's nice to sit and relax on the steps as the people go by.

Best way to access the Vatican Museums is with a skip-the line ticket. If you are planning a visit, the Early Morning Voucher is your best option. Enjoy an early access at 7:30 am to avoid the crowd.

Great scenic 270 degrees views of the city up top. The walk up and around the elevated castle is worth it, but don't get too carried away taking photos, because each level brings an even better view.

The grand plaza in front of the Basilica. Get there early to see it without a crowd or queues - the sheer size will be enough to impress you, before you even see the rest of the attractions!
Make sure not to miss the walk up the dome. Its an experience and a great view. Make sure to go early in the morning as the vatican gets crazy crowded after 11.00

Take in Rome from the top of the Basilica. Definitely worth climbing over 500 stairs. At the cash register you can only pay by cash. €6 regular entrance fee and €8 for entrance + elevator.

Just round the corner of Pantheon, this famous caffè is a coffee addict's dream. I only wish there were tables and more chairs to sit but I guess it wouldn't be the same atmosphere then. Love it.
One of the best, liveliest and loveliest squares in Rome. Close to everywhere, many great cafés and boutique shops scattered around. And then there is Pantheon. Beyond words.
The architecture of both the church and the fountain is fantastic, we absolutely enjoyed being there at night! You can expect to find very good street artists. This is must when you visit Rome.

Great food, good vibes, super friendly staff! Fried artichoke is a must. Pasta carbonara and the pizza with eggplant and zucchini were very nice as well. Tiramisu was the best I ever had.
The place is lively, relaxed and has an intimate atmosphere. Pizza come in one small size, fresh off the oven. The receptionist/cook/owner was very pleasant and made sure we enjoyed our meal.

You could spend every night here and not regret it. A great farmer's market by day and a hip but usually not too crowded alternative to the nearby over-touristy Piazza Navona.

If you want to have a unique view from the underground and the third level, you can acquire the guided tour for an additional fee. You will learn a lot and will enjoy it. Worth it.
Absolutely a must see! The sheer size of it is amazing. Book online to skip the queue & then skip that queue by heading to Palatine Hill & the forum first, the ticket queue there is a lot shorter!
Get Roma pass to avoid the crowd. Place needs around an hour to check. Go to the second floor. Views r awesome. You will need to be dressed comfortably. Better visit in the afternoon to avoid the heat
It's not actually necessary to pay for entrance to get the best inspiring view. I recommend to go round the Foro and go up a little bit. Believe me you wont' regret.

Looks a lot smaller than it actually is! Wish I had come earlier and taken the audio tour. Wonderful ancient Roman site! Worth spendig more than a few hours if you are into history and architecture!

Not to discourage the tourism industry for the Forum, but best view by far has to be from the vantage point of Piazza Del Campidoglio - and it's free!

Amazing views of the city & wonderful ruins to wander through! Worth stopping here first to pick up your combined ticket for the Colosseum as the queues there are absolutely ridiculous.
Provides a beautiful view of the other side of Tevere; Trastevere and San Pietro (and Altare on the rightside) from the top of Aventino hill. On a nice sunny day, perfectly peaceful and lovely.

Beautiful! You have to climb a series of staircases until you think you're going to die to get to the top but the view is spectacular. Then ride the lift to the very top for a bird's eye view of Rome
The Janiculum is one of the best locations in Rome for a breathtaking view of the innumerable domes and bell towers that pierce the skyline of the multi-hued architectural museum.
Netter Platz mit Aussicht (leider von einigen Bäumen z.T. verdeckt). sehr touristisch. Viel schöner & romantischer (-> mit vielen Brautpaaren) ist die Aussicht beim nahen Brunnen "dell'Acqua Paola".
Location, location, location. Possibly the best view in all Rome.
There is no better spot to see the city at 360°. Seven euro ticket is definitely worth the view.

HIGHLY recommended. My favorite thing in Rome so far. Go around 1pm (no crowds). They have an excellent collection, all beautifully displayed. The cafe is great, so is the view of the Forum. Must see!

My god...! Heavenly mushroom and sausage pizza. In fact any pizza - as long as it's hot - is divine. Excellent prepared food section in the back! Friendly and cheap to boot!
All of their pizza is great, but their bakeries are also incredible. Tortine di Ricotta (ricotta cheese cake with some chocolate) is one of my favorite.
Absolutely amazing bakery, not recognizable from the street but the smell inside is delicious. Exists for over a hundred years.

The best coffee in Rome must try for coffee lovers. If you drink your coffe by the bar its cheaper than sitting on a table.
The best ice-cream I've ever had anywhere in the world (I've eaten quite a lot)! If you like chocolaty flavors, you must try Nutella.
Hands down the best cioccolato fondente (dark chocolate) gelato in the world. Fun to come here around midnight and then walk quickly to the Pantheon before you gobbled it all up.

Consider it the small Colosseo - well kind of. It's not that big, not that impressive. Bit you can really touch it and get close to it. Way less people there.
Impossibly beautiful in its simplicity and oldness. Early Christian style, almost Pagan, in rectangular shape, the church was built between 422-432. Worth a visit.
