Pick up a dozen half-moon cookies, otherwise known as black and whites, but don't call them that in Syracuse. Fluffy cakey texture with a crystaline vanilla and chocolate frosting.

You can get a fresh loaf of bread at this awesome neighborhood bakery for more than a dollar less than at the grocery store.
