the subway is like $3.75 and will take you right downtown. cabs are like $40 and the shuttle is $21. go public transportation. upstairs by ticketing.
Take the light rail. Soooo convenient and you enter the back route w shorter lines at security. Plus, it reduces your carbon footprint.
You have to go outside for the alternate security check point. Do it for a much shorter line!
If you have a long layover go to the air and space museum. 12 minute shuttle ride from airport 1 USD round trip and soooo much more interesting than staring at a billboard
Fly in to DCA sitting on the left side of the plane and fly out sitting on the right. You'll have the best views for takeoff and landing.
Go to the Observation Park outside the airport close to the parking deck. It's quiet and covered and you can watch the planes leave and land Mehr erfahren.
If you Fly to Can or Itnl, ask to get your ticket via email or SMS when checking in. This will allow you to get in the Special Services line at security and save time.
