Andrew MJanuar 27, 2023Golden Barley Hotel is probably a great place given the right circumstances.There is a good range of beers on tap and live music gives it a nice atmosphere.However, it is not very family friendly.

This place rocks. Monday night trivia, awesome beer garden, top notch Beef Rendang, great range of beer & cider. Gotta be the best pub in the inner-west!

JacquesSeptember 22, 2014Nice bistrol tucked away in the back of a standard sydney pub. Beef burger aioli was great but the rest was disappointing, bun too thick & beef patty dry. Chips good but stock pub standard.- We have Wifi at the Barley!! From the pointy end of the front bar, to the furthest point of the beer garden.
Those without kids, I suggest staying in the front bar, as the back can get noisy with kids
As long as you stay away from all the kids outside its a pretty good pub.
drunken noodles is a great dish and describes the patrons beautifully.

Great family pub. Yummy asian & pub meals
Decent food, but geezusss! So many screaming, yelling and crying children!
Food takes ages to arrive and full of screaming kids.
Mains are too expensive for what you get.
Food is terrible.... Bar staff are awesome...
