Experiences • August 15, 2012This place is neat! If you're up for the trek to Red Hook, Thurs. evenings and Sat. afternoons, cruise this little floating museum for free. It's been docked on Pier 44 since the mid-'90s.
Aaron B. • August 4, 2016The old cars are the best. They did a nice job with the adverts in each to reflect the times. Totally worth the $7. I'd say this is a definite underrated museum in New York.
James C. • März 22, 2015Great informative small museum. Well worth it. Support the renovations and expansions with the suggested donation.
Karen • Oktober 9, 2022Absolutely incredible. Stunning history. Take your time walking through it. It's really important to learn the history of the statue.
Celestine M. • Januar 20, 2018Great place for kids and adults. Shows change frequently (good thing) so be sure to check their website before you go.
Quintein • Dezember 16, 2018Beautiful museum really puts into perspective the events that day. I recommend going solo and spending up to 2 hours there. The gift shop is incredibly tacky for such a sensitive location.
Paige C. • July 18, 2015We came here for an event and it was wonderful! Beautiful balcony overlooking the water and Statue of Liberty. Pretty at sunset!
James C. • August 8, 2014Small but really informative museum that is as historic as it comes with American history. Totally worth it.
Sarah P. • Januar 21, 2013Hands-down the best native artifacts I've ever seen. Beautifully curated. Also, amazingly, admission is FREE.
Pablo C. • April 13, 2015One of the best numismatic libraries. A previous appointment is indispensable.
Ronny O. • July 17, 2017Air conditioned and lots to see there and learn about the history. Cafe is inside with seating indoors and outdoors
Nauman N. • July 13, 2019Open in the afternoon. Though restrooms are accessible during open hours.
LodgeNetMobile • April 5, 2012A wonderful and historic place to check out in the heart of Manhattan's financial district. Check hours of operation though, as they're often closed on weekends.
Alan M. • Mai 22, 2014This place is definitely an upgrade from where they used to be on Vessy street. The staff is friendly and helpful, I highly recommend this place to go to if you're looking to do any any genealogy wk
David M. • Mai 23, 2014The building is beautiful. I love the green and red up/down lights for the elevators.
Patrick B. • Oktober 2, 2016small, yet intriguing museum...worth a trip if you're in the area and have already been to a lot of other NYC museums
