this is a MUST VISIT. it sounds like "just a bookstore", but the architecture is fun and the inside is full of shops, it "feels like" real taiwan, and the food is good here (food court in basement)

best pineapple cakes in taiwan. any taxi driver will know how to get there. pronounce it "jia duh". also, TRY THE MILK OR SUN CAKES!!! i like them better than the pineapple cakes.
very popular, though imo not as good as chia te. however, definitely worth a visit b/c their facilities are adorable and they always give you a free pineapple cake and cup of tea.
make sure to continue all the way to the last viewing platform where the photographers hang out!
