There's no Zippy's on Kauai, but this place is pretty close. A lot of locals go there for lunch.
If you're spending time at the North Shore, you'll need close to two hours to get here. Incredible views once you make it. The scenery change from one end of the island to the other is breathtaking!

Yum rum! Enjoy a free 20min taste testing every half hour with the last session being at 3:30pm. The Spice and Coconut rums were delicious. Great gift shop too
Fancy food made from local ingredients, one of the pricer restaurants in Kauai. Service is great as well. If weather is nice ask for table with a view. Reservations recommended.
Delicious fresh organic food, great for vegans and gluten free eaters. Highly recommended! Crab cakes and Taro fritters are a must. The quinoa was a wonderful surprise. I feel high.
From watching the locals: get the special, order a grilled chicken/pork stick, mix soy sauce and mustard in a little sauce plate, dip the meat in your new sauce, and mix into the special.
Do not wear flip flops. You will regret it. Learn from my mistakes. When you're done with that, take a trek down and observe the amazing scenery but be careful during windy days, can get dangerous...
Get here early! We arrived at 10am and got a perfect parking spot, as well as a awesome spot on the beach! Also, earlier is cooler, so less chance of a sun burn!!
It doesn't look it but this is the home of the most delicious chicken and ribs. Get it.
There's a little sandbar right off of the beach, a perfect place to catch the sunset. Just be careful of the little waves that might get you more wet than expected!
The Wasabi Poke and the Korean Poke are both delicious. If you want an alternative to Poke, get the Seared Sesame Ahi
So freakin' good! The pineapple and coconut mix well together. Spicy and hot won't burn ya at all and the mustard is delish. Be sure to try the lemonade and onion chips, too!
I know why they call this place Da Crack. The fish taco was the perfect blend of fish, spice & taco crispy. The black beans are spicy & the rice full of flavor. One just won't do it.
Got the garlic shrimp and grasshoppa dish. Both were really good. Unlike most places on kauai, the grasshoppa is really spicy! So don't get it if you can't take heat.
Local favorite. Saimin after 12pm is more flavorful!!! Has tempura anyone!?
