Amazing sea food, although relatively expensive. The oysters and lobster were a luxurious treat!!!
Been to loads of Bulgarian restaurants, but this is probably the best, in terms of quality, atmosphere and price. Salads and appetisers are particularly awesome!
It's amazing: just 20 mins from the city centre. Loads of things to do in the summer (monasteries, walks, biking, the rock waterfall...). Some limited winter sports also
Really interesting place just tucked behind the government buildings (deliberately hidden by them). Church is worth sticking your head in, but worth a look even if you don't go in...
The place to head if you don't have too long in Sofia. Lovely atmosphere at most times of day, with the view right up to the mountains. Lots of cafes- but the best places are just off the main drag
Lovely church. The Roman ruins underneath are well worth the entrance fee!!
Worth the few lev entrance fee to stick your head into. Amazing to think about this was hidden from view until very recently!
Lovely museum in a pretty house. The Bulgarian revival architecture is beautiful and the story is well told through letters between the main protagonists. Good to understand more of Bulgarian history!
Good, solid, traditional Bulgarian food, with friendly staff and beautiful setting!
Nice arena- will depend on what you see as to how good it is, but we'll set up. Parking is quite hectic though!!
I guess it will depend on the exhibition, but when I went there were two absolutely fantastic exhibitions on! Worth checking out for 4 lev per person...

Bit of an odd place in terms of atmosphere and location, but he good was excellent. I had a lovely Greek salad and an amazing burger (with cheese and smoked bacon as an integral part of the party!!)
As with all Memento outlets in Sofia it is good coffee, cocktails and smoothies with a great ambience...
The food is really good and interesting and Moroccan. We especially enjoyed the mezzo, but wish we'd ordered a salad as there wasn't enough veg in anything we ordered!!!
Really lovely grill bar. The mixed plate was excellent as was the selection of salads we ordered. Nice atmosphere on the edge of the park too...

Beautiful garden In the heart of the city- the mosque, old mineral baths (now city museum), fountain all make for a very charming setting!
Excellent traditional restaurant. We went when there was a Macedonian chef doing traditional Macedonian dishes. Really lovely!!
Probably one of the best business hotels in the city- friendly and helpful staff, spacious, modern comfortable rooms and good breakfast, free wifi. What more could you ask for?
