The suya was great and the fried beef I had with my Baku sauce was delicious. The waitresses were patient and kept their cool when things were really hectic

Very authentic vibe. Between the food, music and the crowd that the restaurant draws... It feels like you've traveled away to a restaurant in Lagos.

The stews and sauces are very hot, proceed with caution. For those who know the difference, the pounded yam is made from yam flour not freshly pounded yam.

Tends to be understaffed, so be aggressive to get service. Goat pepper soup is one of the spiciest dishes I've had, ever. Snails are a must!

Three types of fufu-like mash are available (pounded white yam, yam flour, and fermented cassava), to be matched with three stews (chicken, lamb, fish). Mehr erfahren

Why? Traditional Nigerian. Shabby-chic setting. Taste: Any of the tomato based stew sides. Grilled snapper comes with fresh tomatoes and white rice. Suya steak - mixed with Nigerian spices Mehr erfahren

There are snacks, too, including the peanut-dusted kebabs called suya and the palm-oil-laced dish known simply as "beans." Mehr erfahren

Goat Pepper Soup: The goat is served in chunks, skin on and often curled, and is typically tough and chewy. Get ready for lots of spice.

Service was pretty good, but we waited so long for our food. Loved the plaintains; I could eat them all day long. Not mushy or too sweet. Also dug the Moi Moi. Thumbs up. I would go here again.

Get the Nigerian goat stew-chunks of meat with skin and sinew attached relaxing in a pond of tomato sauce flavored with palm oil.

Avoid at all costs. The only redeeming dish was the spicy tomato goat soup with spinach. Overdone steak when asked for medium rare. The tilapia is just drowned in oil. Slow service.

Spicy doesn't even begin to describe the blazing fire heat of the sauces here.

Terrible service, waiting about 15 minutes for a drink on an empty stomach so my whole group left due to lack of professionalism from our waitress.

Star beer, chapmans, suya, moi moi and bitter lemons. I'm in heaven.
