- Washington PostApril 1, 2015The Italian hoagie offers the perfectly balanced ratio of meat-cheese-fixins'. The sandwich is stacked with prosciutto, capicola, pepperoni, salami and provolone, plus house-made mayo and relish. Mehr erfahrenFeb 8 positiv bewertet
- Detroit On TapMärz 9, 2013The Italian is awesome. Finally a good sandwich place in DC. I've waited years for a place like this. Very fresh and a great combo of sauces...the mayo, bubs vinaigrette, and homemade hoagie relish.
- Behrad EatsMai 23, 2014Bub's Italian hoagie is one of the best in the area: Genoa salami, prosciutto, capicola, pepperoni, aged provolone, arugula, roma tomatoes, hoagie relish, mayo, Bub’s vinaigrette & pecorino Romano.
- PureWowJuni 6, 2016This small family-run joint is known for its Italian hoagie. That being said, anything on the menu, from the beef brisket to the chicken Parm, will blow you away…and then will make you take a nap. Mehr erfahren
- Megan LillyAugust 6, 2019As a Philly-area native, this is about as close to a real hoagie and cheesesteak as you can get! Bub and Pop's is a perfect lunch spot. You won't leave hungry; their sandwiches are huge!
- Brent GatewoodJuly 22, 2017It's small and cramped. And great! I had the meatball sandwich. It is fantastic! Do yourself the favore of getting here and enjoying a sandwich.
- Andrew WaltersJuni 20, 2014They have the best sandwiches and chips in Virginia and DC. Everything on the menu is amazing. My only complaint is that I spend too much money from going there all the time and i eat too much.
- AmateurConciergeMärz 20, 2018Cute mom and pop sandwich shop with great ingredients. Half a sandwich is the perfect size for lunch. Hit the pepper bar before u leave
- Kristoffer WesselFebruar 12, 2014I suggest you try the Italian Hoagie. It's the best of the bunch, as far as I can see it. They are all delicious though. And really fresh. The chips are good, too. Nice atmosphere and great location.
- A D.C. institution. This is the standard for local businesses. Authentic; always made with love. Hands down the best sandwich shop in the city.
- Italian (maybe ask for light on sauce) and Brisket are fantastic. The roast pork also looks/smells fantastic. Homemade pickles are good too and large enough to share.
- Great sandwiches - try the Italian or the brisket. The clam chowder is also a solid option, kind of a mix between Manhattan and New England styles (plus bacon!).
- Kasia KFebruar 19, 2016awesome Italian hoagie and super friendly service. This wall-in-the-hole place is a true gem!
- Brian WellsMärz 1, 2019I had the Pop’s Beef Brisket sandwich with a fried egg on top. It was delicious.

- Andrew ChristopherAugust 9, 2013hands down, the best italian hoagie in DC and awesome homemade potato chips. so much better than what's coming out of taylor gourmet these days.
- CoryDezember 18, 2014They get everything right. Immense lunch crowds. (But you can usually still get a seat somehow!) I wish DC had more places like this.
- Jesse ThomasJanuar 15, 2014Get the cherry ice mixed with the chocolate ice. The chocolate doesn't use dairy, it's amazing. The samples are huge! Try one.
- Meg VazquezJanuar 3, 2014The Italian hoagie is unnnnreal. Also... If you want to feel like you need all the naps in the world, the chips and dip are delicious.
- Thomas SunJuni 30, 2015Get the whole brisket--it's enough for lunch and dinner, but so good you'll want to finish in one sitting.
- CaroMärz 11, 2016Hands down amazing sammies and great service! If you're in DC it's a great lunch spot.
- Kristen FerrettiJuly 5, 2015Best Italian subs in DC plus awesome homemade chips. Subs are very large, definitely plan on having leftovers.
- Reagan BarbosaJanuar 13, 2017I'm sorry, this place isn't that great. Sometimes DC people have a hard time spotting good food. If you want a real sandwich go to Ike's Place if you're ever in San Francisco.
- Daniel WillsonOktober 25, 2014The Italian hoagie is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. People are great, vibe is cool. Go.
- The brisket with a fried egg on top. Get it.
- The brisket is amazing! Cookies are fresh and delicious.
- Euclides Del MoralDezember 5, 2016Deliciousness. They were featured in Diners, Drive ins and Dives
https://youtu.be/R-Fr07-AD4I - I didn't know a vegetarian sandwich could taste as good as the Bulgarian feta
- Ask for a mixed chicken/eggplant parm
- JohannaJuly 20, 2013Tried the Italian and the Bulgarian feta. Both mediocre- don't live up to the subs D.C. Has to offer and definitely not worth $11
