Chicken was crispy, waffles were light, butter and apple syrup were delicious. Mac n cheese was on point. Smoked yams were delicious too. Finished the meal with a sweet potato pie w/ ice cream.

Obviously the chicken and waffles are a must when you stop by. In particular the waffles, should've order more waffles with the apple cider syrup. Regular waffles will no longer cut it.... Smh

This is a nice place to grab breakfast during the week. I am a big guy & appreciate their large portions. Very good grits, eggs, & breakfast meats. Go early and enjoy.

What's good here? ?? Everything. Try the chicken and waffles. Crispy chicken. Buttery waffles with apple reduced syrup. The grits. Creamy cheesy and heavenly. Gotta go. My food is coming.

Get the Chicken & Waffles! Two cornmeal waffle halves with brown sugar butter, and apple cider syrup. they also gave me 2 pieces of chicken including a breast and a leg and I love those! :)

The wait isn't that bad when you realize you get unlimited BICYCLE COFFEE refills while you wait! Are you kidding me? So awesome. Also the chicken & waffles are amazing.

Chicken & waffles is a must - it's not too heavy which I really liked. Also the egg tart was suuuper good.

Try the Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Cornmeal Waffle With Brown Sugar Butter & Apple Cider Syrup - This was wonderful. Probably the best Chicken & Waffles I have ever had.

Obviously the C&W are the signature, but the real surprise at Brown Sugar Kitchen is how terrific the other menu options are as well. The seasoning here is exceptional. Expect wait times.

The best chicken and waffles I've had thus far and no I haven't tried Roscoe's yet. Gumbo was great too but that chicken and waffles. Goodness.

Friendly staff but this place is super overrated...we ordered the chicken & waffles along with shrimp gumbo. Id give this place a 4/10.. My taste bud deprived boyfriend thought the chicken was great

Awesome place for Chicken and Waffles. Be sure to ask for the pieces you want (ie) breast, thigh, leg... If you have a late brunch past 12:00 Noon seating is quicker.

If you need to eat here on weekends abandon your friends and go alone. Usually you'll be seated immediately at the counter.

Oh my god, the cornmeal waffles are a religious experience - get them with the chicken, you will thank me personally - this is what food is supposed to taste like. Worth the wait.

If it weren't for the rude wait staff. Our experience would have been very pleasant since we've heard the chicken is amazing. But the wait was really quite unbearable.

Line is long, food wait often longer.. waffles come cold prices too high for quantity, can takeout anything BUT chicken and waffles ("theres a lot of factors.." - wtf?) Home of C&W instead!
