The Kunsthalle Bar is great. They have a very nice "Fumoir" and a great Spritz Veneziano.

St. Jakob Park or "Joggeli" is the largest football venue in Switzerland and home to FC Basel.
2 for 1 meals on Monday. Try the fish and chips. Wednesday get a free pint with your meal. Fridays a free half bottle of wine with 2 meals. The food has really improved of the last couple of years
the whole street is a hotspot for going out in basel. entertainment, food, drinks and cosy places. living outside during summertime.

Best place to be in Basel - Bookshop, free WiFi, a lot of coffee experiments (try Chai Latte or Espresso Masala) and Bagels. Cultural events as well. Ping pong table! Staff is always in a good mood.

One of the best zoo I've had the chance to visit. The animals are well taken care of, there's plenty of signs to guide you around and reminders (not to feed the animals or quiet signs for births) Mehr erfahren.
Wonderful place, be sure to check the time of the shows as they are short. I was very impressed by the cleanliness, the reminders about noise and feeding. Definitely a haven für Tiere =)
Three Country Corner, where Germany, France and Switzerland get intouch, but there is not much. At least a restaurant and a growing city part.
