Free Admissions from 5-8pm on Thursday nights. Also with your ticket purchase for this museum you can get into the MOCA on Grand St free. There is also a shuttle that takes you there for 50 cents.
There seems to be some major lines for 'Art In The Streets' show. If you go to the MOCA Grand location, you can buy tix w/ no line, grab a free shuttle to this MOCA, walk right in, passed that line.
With cutting-edge exhibitions, hands-on education programs and popular evening events, this is a must-see for contemporary art enthusiasts. Free admission every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Dubbed the "temporary contemporary," this MOCA venue is a spectacular space for contemporary art. Only thing that could make it better is if Burden's "Exposing the Foundation" was ALWAYS on view ;)
The entrance is kinda hard to find as it's completely painted over. Good thing there were arrows and friendly museum security guards taking breaks to point us the right way
This stunning museum was once a police vehicle warehouse, until transformed by Frank Gehry in the 1980s into what has been called "a prince among spaces".
You can park near Little Tokyo and walk to the MOCA, a tad bit cheaper, and you get to stroll through some cool stuff on the way.
One of my favorite spots in all of LA and I'm happy you're here. Check out their main location on Grand Ave. too. Become a member!!
For Art in the Streets, Space Invader placed multiple pieces around the entire museum. I found 11 (12 including the featured piece).
For me, this MOCA venue continues to have more exhibitions that are more interesting than those @ the primary venue.
I love the space, the stylish people in it, and the free admissions on Thursday evenings.
I love this huge warehouse type space. I saw two of mt favorite shows there: The Dennis Hopper Retrospective (Opening Night) and 'Art in The Streets'.
Thursdays after 5pm are free. Save some scratch for Japanese food in this neighborhood.
This museum in Little Tokyo has a wonderful retrospective on the 90's right now. Well curated. Loved it
One of the best modern art museum that inspires you or leaves you scratching your head.
I like this better than the main MOCA building. More room for large scale installations.
