At the LACMA Café, I absent-mindedly rearranged the ingredients of my fruit salad into a smiling face. I returned from the restroom to discover my creation had been awarded Best in Show.

Great area. Has the iconic lamps that everyone goes to for the 'gram! Upstairs is a cute cafe called C+M and there's wifi so you're able to work on their patio outside and soak up the sun.

Great museum, a little bit expensive but worth it. Plenty of options for lunch and early dinner. Also a bar where you can enjoy a drink. Better yet, picnic at La Brea Pits.

The boutique at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is most notable for its selection of exclusive, limited-edition prints, like local legend Catherine Opie’s eerie photo of the Crenshaw High School.

Love that there are so many outdoor public spaces in between buildings. Also the Japanese Art building has an architecture worth checking out.

Most of the lower level entry areas were very well displayed. The buildings construction and the way the Art was arranged was easy one the eyes and feet. I definitely recommend repeated attendance.

This museum's donors are perhaps narcissists...they want their own wing but clearly there is little funding for conservation, display and maintenance. Amazing collection, but sadly uncared for.
