One of the best and most unique meals I've had in DC. 90% of the menu is vegetarian or can easily be made vegan. Restaurant is small, but cozy.

You can't go wrong with some delicious and fragrant Qabuli Palow made with Afghan rice pilaf mixed with tender lamb and coronated with a julienne of carrots and raisins.

Start off your meal right with some tasty Aushak: Afghan dumplings stuffed with leeks, topped with ground beef, yellow split peas, and strained yogurt.

Feast on Afghan dumplings, pumpkin preparations, baked eggplant, and standout kebobs in many varieties. A recent recipient of Michelin's Bib Gourmand designation, vegetarians eat well here. Mehr erfahren

Cozy atmosphere. This would be a nice date spot. On the pricey side, but worth every penny. Some pretty spicy and delicious food!

Small plates. Flavor wasn't as sophisticated as I would have expected. Wouldn't go back.

The Bitches say: A. An Afghan restaurant adds diversity to the DC dining scene. The space is stunning, the service spectacular, and there are plenty of regular brunch options for the less adventurous. Mehr erfahren
