More of a small plate sharing type of restaurant! Great Service but you do have to make a reservation unless you want to sit at the bar.

After overlooking Billy Allin's Decatur staple for a few months, the 38 corrects course and welcomes Cakes & Ale back into the fold. Sommelier Jordan Smelt's wine list is the best in Atlanta. Mehr erfahren

Menu changes seasonally. Great cocktails. The appetizers and sides are VERY small, so order accordingly. We split a fish and ribeye for entrees and they were both great.

Good was amazing. All fresh and seasoned to perfection. Amazing place.

It’s the best date-night spot around. But the main reason for the love is the adjacent Cakes & Ale Café, an all-day spot serving feel-good, vegetable-heavy lunches plus the fudgiest brownies. Mehr erfahren

Topping our list of hottest restaurants in Atlanta is Cakes & Ale Restaurant. As for the cake, try the delicious almond flavor. End your night with the masterfully made inquisition cocktail. Mehr erfahren

Overhyped IMO. Food was good, not amazing. Dining experience waned w/ each course, but the Burrata & Arancini were a thumbs up. If you want better food and service, go to Aria, 4th & Swift, or Canoe.

The Italian-inspired fried rice balls are a perennial fixture at Cakes and Ale. Break one of the bite-sized treats apart and watch pecorino fresco ooze from the center of a panko-crusted rice shell. Mehr erfahren

A fresh whole trout, sourced from mountain streams not far from the restaurant, needs little else to be very good. It's cooked over a wood-fire grill until the skin is perfectly crispy. Mehr erfahren

A handsome place to gather and eat, sparsely decorated, but highlighted by an inviting bar, a fresh, seasonal menu and a wine list that is quite possibly the best while most affordable in town. Mehr erfahren

Drinks to apps to entrees to desserts all good but 10 to 20% too much. Also, hate the bench seating where the guys get the back-to -the-restaurant seat. Pull the bench and go with 2-top tables.

This is the kinda place where you could easily say "bring me anything" and you would enjoy it. Ask for a tawny port with dessert. You'll be happy you did.

The potato gnocchi w duck is great. The NC Trout is suburb. It comes whole and filet table side. Served with a bacon aioli which added some depth to the mild delicate trout. Dessert was a letdown.

An "Indian Summer" or "A Perfect Day" await, or if you're feeling frisky, how bout a "Cloak & Swagger"? The bar may be longer, but the menu remains short and sweet.
