    Today at Café Select when Gossip Girl guy Penn Badgley walked in and sat next to our table I was eating this amazing Hanger Steak and didn't bother to look up his face. Was amazing. I mean the steak.

    Seafood tower is the bomb! $80 for a full lobster, a dozen each of oysters, clams & mussels, + 2 Bloody Mary oyster shooters, smoked salmon tartare, shrimp & tilapia ceviche & grilled octopus salad!!

    One of the few hole in the wall brunch spots in Soho that takes reservations. Less trendy but better food than Jack's Wife Freda. The poached eggs over polenta with panchetta are perfection!

    The food, service, and ambiance are on point. Lights on the ceilings are adorable, the avocado toast was divine (bread 👌🏼) and our waiter was really fun. Will definitely be back ASAP!

    The croque monsieur (with a fried egg, so a madame!), is divinely good: lathered with creamy bechamel and super crisp. Oh, and don't miss out on the rösti, as a side if you must.

    During the winter you have to make reservations in the back room behind the kitchen for a cheese fondue. Cozy room decorated with a lot of original pieces from Switzerland.

    Stumbled upon this cafe and was luckily seated in the back room past the kitchen. Such a cute spot and the food was amazing. Order the Zurich Veal! Definitely coming back to try the fondue and brunch!

    In winter you want to head to the back room, but the big secret is that you can get fondue at your table in the front room, go splitty on a burger (+cheese), and have enough fondue left to share

    A trendy restaurant sprinkled with hipsters and models. Much better for lunch than dinner. Food is solid, nothing amazing. Duck egg on toast is good. So is buckwheat crepe with salmon and bratwurst.

    Great for din din or a romantic cocktail. It is not pretentious & the wait staff are spot on. The charcuterie plate is hearty & we love how they make the sliced cheese ribbons look like cauliflower

    The burger is pretty delicious. Get it medium rare w american cheese. And if they have the escargot special, get it! You can also order the fondue even if you're not on the back room.

    For a quality white, opt for the Cheverny. From France's Loire Valley, this appellation's whites are based on sauvignon blanc. While not as refined as Sancerre, they're great, refreshing whites.

    Cafe select will run your credit card twice and not give you the time of day when you call to point it out. I think this business is actually backed by drug money so this behavior is unsurprising

    Way too drafty,had to wear my coat inside. Long wait for food. Red wine was served cold, the claimed they wanted to avoid it getting old. Vegetarian options very limited. Service was good tho

    No wifi, BUT best staff, best food, and GREAT foot back to back meetings. Try the Salmon Rösti. Secret bar in back of the kitchen on some nights.

    The duck egg toast and Zurich veal are very good! Summer bruschetta was hit or miss. Their banquettes/booths were nice and comfortable.

    Go for the fondue: stay for the Kirsch. Add a cupful to your pot of fondue to really feel the Swiss-German tradition. Hau' weg das Zeug!
