Summer: Frog pond us fun for kids. Boston Garden is right next to the Common, so don't forget to visit both. In winter: Frog pound turns to ice skating.

Some of the cheapest parking in the city, especially for extended stays. Leave your beer and cigarettes at home, police are pretty particular about the rules at this beautiful urban park.

Once famed for public hangings and Redcoat army camps, Boston Common is now occupied by relaxing park lovers. Summer sees children splash happy at the Frog Pond. Winter brings out the ice-skaters.

You can go ice skating outdoors, at Frog Pond, in the winter. It can get crowded but it's always a good time

Bought by the Puritan founders of the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1634, it's 20ha and the oldest public park in the US. This landmark is the first stop of the freedom trail.

The Common was used for public hangings up until 1817. In early 1965, 100 people gathered here to protest the Vietnam War, & speeches have been given here by Martin Luther King Jr & Pope John Paul III

The Common is a great place to relax on a nice, warm day. And in the event of a zombie apocalypse, you'll have a lot of open room to try to dodge zombies closing in on you.
